Everything went as expected with the ferry and ride to the zoo. There isn’t a tour of the bay - it’s straight over and straight back. The weather didn’t cooperate as it was rainy, windy and cold. Take the free green bus to the main entrance of the zoo at the top of the hill. Easy to find; check the ferry schedule for ride times.

The Zoo is very well laid out and maintained for a great time for people of all ages. The people that handled the animals were very helpful and provided some great information

It was easy to check in and the ride through the harbour was fun. Lots to see. Recommend paying the extra dollar on the bus to take you to the top.

Taronga Zoo was great. The ferry trip over was quick and gave us a good view of the harbour. We went thinking we would spend just a couple of hours but spent 5 by the time we wandered around, took in a couple of shows.

Great zoo to visit - recommend getting in early to beat the crowds. Good array of different species with large enclosures. Food and drink not astronomical. Reccommend an animal experience if you can get in - I was able to have 15mins being close to a koala (no touching/holding of these animal in the zoo) which cost $15. Ideally book this in advance to avoid disappointment

While the ferry ride and zoo were nice ... we specifically said we wanted to go for the crocodile only to find there was no crocodile at the zoo. We even asked prior to buying tickets and again when we got off the ferry. A zoo staff told us at the bus stop that the large croc had to be moved but they had a fresh water croc to see - only to find out that wasn't true either. The other animal exhibits were nice. Food options limited and expensive. We could have spent time on another tour if we had been told the truth. Nice views from the ferry though too.

Excellent ferry journey across to the zoo with beautiful views of the bridge, Opera House and city skyline. Go early and get the first ferry as the animals sleep a lot in the heat. Take the free bus on arrival as it takes you to the beautiful old original entrance at the top. Well worth a visit.
