A good introduction to Sydney

4.00As a visitor to Sydney this cruise gave me a little of the history of the city plus interesting facts about buildings, landmarks etc. also suggestions for other activities to explore while in NSW. The boat was very comfortable with tables and chairs, free water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate plus a bar . My only disappointment was when , at the end, the guide blatantly asked for a tip to supplement the small remittance he was paid. He did a good job but we would expect that and we do not tip in Australia.

5.00Thus was an excellent tour of the Harbour and more extensive than I expected as we headed out east along the southern shore before turning towards Manly and then back west under Sydney Harbour Bridge all the way to Darling Harbour. Ron, the commentator, usefully pointed out all the landmarks and destinations and helpfully explained the government run ferry system which is the best way to get around.

5.00We arrived the evening before after a tiring 20+ hour flight. Starting our visit with this Harbour Tour is something we can recommend. You’ll get a lot of information about Sydney, a bit of history and excellent advice about parts of the city worth exploring further. So thanks a lot Ron for showing us around.
