A highlight of the day is our bushwalk through Wentworth Falls, which is famous for its undercliff walk, a scenic trail that winds beneath massive sandstone overhangs along the Jamison Valley.
We will stop for lunch and free time in the charming village of Leura and finish the day at some of Katoomba’s most famous lookouts including the Three Sisters. This tour is led by passionate local guides and travelling in a comfortable luxury vehicle.

What To Expect
Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park
We begin early, leaving the beautiful city of Sydney behind as we head west. Around 40 minutes later we arrive at our first stop: Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park. This is the home to the largest collection of Australian native animals in the world, with over 2,000 animals on site. Featherdale is renowned for its close-up wildlife encounters. Here, you can hand-feed friendly Kangaroos, take a professional photo with a cute and loveable Koala, snap a selfie with the “happiest animal on earth” the Quokka and meet Wombats, Tasmanian Devils and more. You’ll also see the vibrant colours of Australia’s native birdlife, including Emus, Cassowaries, and laughing Kookaburras. For those excited to explore Australia’s wilder side, some of the country’s most famously “scary” creatures are also on display including Dingoes, Crocodiles, Snakes, and Spiders.
Wentworth Falls
A highlight of the day is our visit to Wentworth Falls, one of the most impressive waterfalls in the region. The falls plunge nearly 300 metres in total, making them among the tallest in the Blue Mountains and a true standout of the tour. Wentworth Falls is famous for its undercliff walk, a sheltered and scenic trail that winds beneath massive sandstone overhangs along the Jamison Valley. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful walks in the Blue Mountains, offering dramatic perspectives and constantly changing views. On clear days, the lookouts provide sweeping panoramas stretching more than 50 kilometres across the valley. Bushwalking is a classic Australian experience, and there are several walking options here to suit different energy levels. Please note that the area does include stairs and as the saying goes, what goes down must come back up. But the effort is well worth it, especially with lunch waiting at our next stop.

5.00I chose this tour with Sydney Adventure Tours on the recommendation by my sister Ann who had come last year and also the reviews. Our guide Mark was fun to be with, knowledgeable, entertaining, observant and caring for our safety. Our group totalled 5 and we all got along well. Our stops were great, his recommendations for restaurants were really good and his timing at each spot was great. We were very lucky weather wise as we were supposed to have rain but it held off until the very end of the day. On the way back to Sidney Mark played us music composed, written and sung by Australian singers and musicians. A lot of fun to hear them and learning about the artists. Robert and I highly recommend this tour and ask for Mark!

5.00Ben was a good tour guide. He communicated well and considered the tour participants needs and limitations when he planned our hike in the Blue Mountains. The hike to a view of Wentworth Falls was worth every drop of sweat that pored out as we hiked back to the van. I highly recommend this trip and avoid the amusement park. Ben was gracious enough to report that we left a hat in the bus and promised to drop it off tomorrow.

5.00This excursion was a great outdoor experience. Our guide, Mark, was just incredible. He was a wealth of information and stories at every stop along the way. He was extremely familiar with each location and made excellent choices and recommendations based on his level of expertise. We loved the Featherdale Wildlife Park. There were so many Australian animals out and about. The facility is well taken care of and it’s obvious that the animals are genuinely cared for. Although it was a cloudy day, we still loved our hike through the Blue Mountains. Mark gave us the best tour…loaded with facts and stories about exploring there as a youngster. Shout out to Karen and Mark, the other couple we met who also booked this tour. We had the best time and left with so many great memories! A small group tour is the way to go!
