Learned about the Sydney Opera House and didn’t disappoint. That’s all. But need to hit the minimum review letters…okay. Achieved.

Well run tour. Got to see rehearsal and blocking for NYE concert the next night and hear some lovely voices. YMMV. But nice view of one of the two main hall plus a smaller hall , and great info on to building.

We did the tour (booked through Viator) on our first day in Sydney. I remember when the Opera House opened and I remember a little bit of the controversy, but it was great to get the history and background of this iconic building. During our tour we were able to enter some of the performance spaces. Prior to our arrival (by at least 9 months) we started to look for performances to attend, but had no luck. Our tour guide mentioned that the ballet "Sleeping Beauty" was being put on by the Australian Ballet and some tickets might be available. I think we may have gotten the last two! It is one thing to tour and another to actually attend--unforgettable. My first ballet ever: great music, dancing, sets, and costumes. So, even if you don't see something on the website, check it out and see what might be available.

Our guide, Peter, was very helpful and experienced plus provided personal knowledge of the Opera House. He had been associated with one of the architects. Highly recommend this experience.

It was short and sweet but very informative. Our guide was excellent. We got to go into the various theatres and see the outside tiles up close. Great place for some wonderful pictures.
