We thoroughly enjoyed our tour this week. It was well-paced with short walks then informative presentations. We learned a lot about this very interesting part of Sydney and its fascinating history.

I can honestly say this was one of the most informative, thoughtfully structured and genuinely enjoyable tours I’ve experienced. From the very beginning, it was clear that Judith, our guide, wasn’t simply reciting memorised facts — she had a deep pride and understanding of the area’s history, architecture, social evolution and even the lesser-known anecdotes that bring a place to life. We covered approximately 4000 steps at a comfortable pace over 1 and a half hours with regular stops in shaded areas (very thoughtful planning!). Each stop had a clear purpose — whether it was highlighting architectural features from a specific era, explaining how local residents shaped the neighbourhood, or pointing out details most people would walk straight past. What truly elevated the experience, though, was Judith’s passion. You could feel that this wasn’t just a job for her — it was something she cares deeply about. She welcomed and answered every question thoroughly, from horticulture There were clear meeting instructions, excellent time management, and thoughtful pacing meant we learned a tremendous amount without ever feeling rushed or overwhelmed. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys history, architecture, culture, or simply wants to see a familiar place with entirely new eyes. Absolutely superb.

An outstanding tour led by a friendly and informative guide. Having lived in Sydney for many years and walked the Rocks area on numerous occasions it was amazing to hear the stories of the early settlement.

We had a fabulous tour and loved learning the interesting history of the Rocks area in Sydney. Our guide was informative and entertaining. We would suggest that it is worthwhile to always include a visit to the dig site as part of the standard tour as it really brought the whole story together. Thank you for a fabulous day! We would highly recommend this tour.
