Tips
Temple of Apollo (Tempio di Apollo)
At our first food stop we'll try out the most local of street foods: - Arancini: world-famous Arancini consist of a ball of rice stuffed with a variety of ingredients (meat, cooked ham, spinach, pistachios, aubergines and more) and then fried in the traditional way - Fried fish cone a delicious cone filled with various kinds of fried fish, caught that day! (only during summertime)
Fontana di Diana
We'll then have a chance to taste: - Impanate: The Sicilian impanata (mpanata in dialect) is an artisanal bakery product typical of Sicily, a kind of tasty oval-shaped, golden-coloured calzone that can be stuffed with tomato sauce, vegetables, meat, cheese, potatoes and sausage, shrimp and black olives: it is a delicacy with decidedly strong flavours!

Highly recommend this street food tour. Myself and husband had a lovely few hours sampling tasty sicilian food in the markets and family run restaurents. Guiseppe was a fantanstic guide. He was passionate about the sicilan food and had great knowledge of the ortigia area. He looked after everyone so well......checking in with us to make sure we were enjoying the food. He worked very hard and put in a huge effort to make sure the tour went well.
