From the moment Papy arrived (right on time!), we knew we were in good hands. He was super friendly and immediately put us at ease. One of the first things he did was offer to take photos on our phones throughout the day — such a small gesture, but it made a huge difference. We didn’t have to worry about documenting everything ourselves and could really focus on enjoying the experience. His knowledge of Cape Town and South African history is incredibly strong. He explained things with real depth and context, but never in a way that felt overwhelming. He’s also a fantastic listener — he answered all of our questions thoughtfully and with real consideration, which made the day feel personal rather than scripted. What we appreciated most was that we never once felt rushed. It truly felt like our day. If we wanted to linger somewhere, we could. If we were ready to move on, that was fine too. Papy completely tailored the pace to us. A few practical tips for anyone planning a similar day: • Your phone battery will drain quickly with all the photos and videos — bring a power bank! • Table Mountain can be surprisingly chilly, so pack a windbreaker or warm hoodie. • Bring around R1000 in cash — there are beautiful stalls along the way and some don’t take credit cards. And finally, a big thank you to Papy. What a gentleman. He was such an important part of what made the day so memorable. Highly recommended!

What a friendly helpful and knowledgeable tour guide. He was so patient as we waited to go up Table Mountain. He gave us the history of Cape Town as we went towards Cape Point. At Cape Point he watched over two of our children who were afraid of the baboons whilst we walked up to see the point on the top.

Benda our guide was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer questions that we had. He would take us to places that were both picturesque as I am a photographer and also for cultural experiences.
