It’s nice to see that little by little people are trying to take care of the island. However, the beach is FULL of trash, and honestly it doesn’t feel very clean or pleasant to swim there. It’s also “understandable that there’s never any water” (emphasis intended). If the community wants to keep depending on tourism, something really needs to be done about the trash problem. There is garbage in many areas, not just the beach. I really wanted to love this place, but this part was quite disappointing.

Great escape from the city. The beaches are rocky sand, the water appeared clean. The walk way to get to the beach is lined with open air hut/cafe's. I had a Pina colada that appears very impressive served inside a pineapple cut in front of you. Last was so so and liquor poor. There an amazing Italian restaurant on the far side of town that is definitely worth the walk. A 1/2 day is all you need unless you're a tan fanatic. We took the 8 AM ferry and returned at 2:30.

To spend a different day and share with friends, the only bad thing that there are no bathrooms and the rents are affectionate, the rest excellent

You must take an early ferry to get to the island, the beach is very nice and the prices of drinks and cheap meals. There are places to rent chairs and sun visors all day. There are also hotels to stay several nights.

The catamaran trip is very good, comfortable and punctual. But once we arrived, oops, nicknamed the island of flowers, we didn't see any flowers. To get to the beach we pass through small cabins, restaurants and dilapidated shops. The beach is brown sugar colored sand full of shells and rocks, nothing like the description of fine white sand. Unless you are comfortable walking on small rocks swimming is difficult. We rented two chairs and an umbrella for $17. us while waiting for the return ferry. This is the kind of place we should have skipped.
