Dihua Street
The experience begins in the heart of old Taipei, along Dihua Street, where centuries of trade, culture, and street food come together in one vibrant stretch. Right from the start, we dive straight into local flavors to sample a plethora of iconic Taiwanese bites like pig’s blood cake (豬血糕), a chewy sweet-savory street snack loved by locals, and a comforting bowl of braised pork rice (滷肉飯), often considered Taiwan’s ultimate soul food. To balance it all, we’ll cool down with a refreshing cup of herbal grass tea (青草茶), a traditional drink rooted in Chinese medicinal culture.
Step into the historic Yongle Market, the beating heart of Dadaocheng’s trading culture and one of Taipei’s oldest marketplaces. Inside this beautifully preserved red-brick building, we’ll explore a maze of traditional fabric stalls, fresh produce goods, and local food vendors who have been perfecting their craft for generations.

Our group had an excellent time on this food tour. Corrine was brilliant in offering us both familiar and unique local dishes to try. Between dishes, we stopped at temples and got a mini Taipei history lesson. Once the tour had ended, Corrine was more than happy to suggest places to see next and good bars for a cocktail. The whole experience was very enjoy and I’d highly recommend it.

This was a great tour to experience Taiwanese food including desserts and alcohol. Our tour guide Corrine was amazing. She added in a couple of stops at temples and shared historical information. She also showed us some of the ancient architecture. Great tour.
