A delicious experience! The price of admission allows you to try a variety of cultural food staples with portion sizes guaranteed to leave you full. The atmosphere is engrossing for the entire (short) tour. Liam and Mina, our excellent staff, ensured that crowds never grew too large. Easy recommendation for foodies. Ask Liam about the fried chicken stand.

Cornelia was a great guide. Being the tour was only 2 hours long she tried to expose us to as many food experiences as possible. We could have been exposed to a somewhat better variety. 1. The Stinky Tofu was horrible, I could not get past the smell. 2. And we could have avoided the 7-Eleven. I think most people are familiar with the convenience store chain and others. So overall it was a good tour thanks to Cornelia.

We had a great time on the food tour with Cornelia. She really knows her stuff and gave us plenty of information about the city, history of the food markets and the food. It was great that she gave us some foundation dishes to try which helped us alot when we visited other food markets.

The food tour was a great way to get to know the Taiwanese cuisine and food preferences. Cyndi was our guide and she offered many interesting stories around Taiwan and food which really enriched the tour. Her energy was great in bringing the whole group together. I also liked that once you were close to being full, you could let Cyndi know and she would adjust the portion size. That way there was no pressure to eat or waste food. The no hunger policy was definitely fulfilled! Can highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested.

Lina was great and sweet. Highly recommend her. She was also really good at planning backup tours in case a restaurant closes.

Our tour guide, Cornelia, shared with us many meaningful historical facts about the food in Taipei and the culture of the old neighborhood where the market is located. We were able to taste at least ten different types of food—from oyster omelets to sweet potato desserts. She was very attentive, explaining all the dishes and their connection to the culture. I didn’t like some of the food, but I loved having the experience of trying them.

Went on this tour with my husband who is a little less food adventurous with me and he really enjoyed all the stops! Cyndi was awesome and the tour of 7 eleven was a cool twist to other night market tours I've gone on! We learned a bit about Taiwan history and did not leave hungry. :)

The guide was very nice but honestly the market did not serve good tasting food. Also I would not want to go to 711 as part of a tour. I can do that on my own or read about it. I’m sorry for leaving this feedback but it’s rare when Viator has a tour I don’t like. This one is the first one. I left early as I had a flight to catch the next morning but honestly if I felt the food was better tasting I would have stayed.

This tour was a great introduction to the night market and some common street foods. There was a good mix of adventurous food choices and dishes that required less bravery, but our guide Violet was great about respecting guest’s boundaries on what they did and did not want to try. Violet was very kind and sociable and provided us will some fun personal anecdotes in addition to having a robust knowledge about the dishes we were trying. After the tour she even provided an additional few recommendations for other foods to try at the market or elsewhere while we were in Taiwan - I tried one (the peanut ice cream roll) a bit later at the night market and it ended up being incredible! I went on this tour after flying in to Taipei the same day and didn’t feel like it was too much walking at all. Of course be mindful of the season you are in and prepare accordingly for warmth and/or rain, but all and all it was a great experience that I would recommend!
