228 Peace Memorial Park
The 228 Peace Memorial Park is a historic site and municipal park located at 3 Ketagalan Boulevard, Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. The park contains memorials to victims of the February 28 Incident of 1947, including the 228 Memorial Monument that stands at the center of the park and the Taipei 228 Memorial Museum, housed at the site of a former radio station that operated under Japanese and Kuomintang rule. The National Taiwan Museum stands at the park's north entrance. The park also has a bandshell and exercise areas.

5.00Chester was super engaging. Group was about 10-12 people but had a mic so everyone could hear easily. Great mix of info on sites, history, culture and a little food trivia and option to try a typical drink. Definitely worthwhile and enjoyable. Thank you.

5.00This is a great tour. It’s an easy walk but you cover a lot of Taiwan’s history. Chester, the tour guide, really knows his stuff and was a terrific guide. I’ll happily recommended him to anyone I know coming to this fabulous city.

5.00Bessie was an amazing and knowledgeable guide. She took the time to explain Taiwan's history, including not only the succession of occupiers, but how they impacted the island and how the population felt about them. Great discussion of Qing influence, Japanese influence, and 228 and Chiang Kai-shek's flee to Taiwan. Good further discussion on Taiwan to day as well.

5.00For anyone visiting Taipei, this tour is a MUST. Tâilé, our guide was deeply passionate and articulate in sharing the history of Taiwan and its people. Right off the gate I knew this was going to be an excellent experience. I could viscerally feel the emotions and the pride that people of Taiwan carry. 5.00Great information about Old Taipei. Taille our guide was very informative and took us on a walk around town. This helped to get a general layout idea of the area if you want to go back to do your own exploring. She was open to questions and was very helpful. Wear comfortable shoes as there will be many steps involved. Great tour when you first get into Taiwan.
