Great information about Old Taipei. Taille our guide was very informative and took us on a walk around town. This helped to get a general layout idea of the area if you want to go back to do your own exploring. She was open to questions and was very helpful. Wear comfortable shoes as there will be many steps involved. Great tour when you first get into Taiwan.

I booked this tour to gain an understanding of the city’s history and culture. I got that and so much more. Our guide Bessy was incredible: knowledgeable, engaging, and sweet. She made 2.5 hours fly by.

I am a bit of a history bod so this was perfect for me. Vincent, our guide was really informative and introduced us to the history and development of Taipei and Taiwan. It was really interesting particularly in his explanation about the influence of the 50 year colonisation by the Japanese. I presumed that the Taiwanese people would have hated the Japanese but he was kind about them in their positive legacy in culture, manners, education and buildings that they left. I thought the tour was excellent and added to my knowledge about Taiwan,Taipei and its people.

Interesting history about Taiwan politics and the culture of the peoples. Delivered with humour punches by James. Because he tortured us a little on a stone path he took us out for icecream & gave a great lunch spot recommendation.

Vincent is very knowledgeable and a subject matter expert for the Old Town Taipei Tour. He explained everything in detail and well on all the historical sites that we visited today. He definitely deserve a raise and/or a promotion for all the hard work that he put in.

This tour was well worth it, if you are interested in history and culture. We had Tâilé and she was a really good guide, really enthusiastic and passionate. The weather wasn’t great and non stop rain but she made sure for many parts we were undercover whilst she told us about the history of the old town. Well recommended, thanks.

Great tour done at a very reasonable and comfortable pace, even for our kids:) The Guide (Veronica) was great managing a fairly big group in the heat, and gave us many interesting insights into Taiwan’s history. Highly recommended.

Thanks to Leo, I learnt more about Taiwan political history. Despite the scorching hot sun, he made the tour lively and engaging, always making effort to engage everyone in the group, and helpful in giving tips in food and other historical site visits. Highly recommended .
