We went on the tour with hemi, and he was great! Very knowledgeable, explains everything in a very entertaining way, was generally very nice and very experienced, even though this tour specifically is quite new Being able to visit multiple villages during the tour was amazing, especially since we probably wouldn't have gotten to the first two on our own and they were a more authentic part of the area, compared to Shirakawa go that was more touristy We enjoyed paper making a lot and even got our own paper to take back home Would recommend you go!

Great day out. Small group (7 ppl), Hemi was a super guide, friendly and knowledgeable. The first two villages we visited were very quaint and less touristy than Shirawaka-go, we actually preferred them! And the fact that we can do the tour and get dropped off after at Takayama or Kanazawa is a great option for sightseeing day-trip that combines useful transit as well. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing time on this tour. Everything was extremely well organized from start to finish—clear meeting instructions, comfortable transport, great pacing, and plenty of time to actually enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. The highlight for me was the tour guides. They were genuinely super professional: knowledgeable, calm, and very experienced at managing the day smoothly. They also went the extra mile in a way you don’t often see—checking in with everyone, helping with logistics and timing, making sure we got the best viewpoints, and sharing helpful context (history, culture, and small details you’d never notice on your own). It made the whole experience feel effortless. The 3 villages were stunning and totally worth it—beautiful landscapes, traditional architecture, and a really special atmosphere. If you’re based in Takayama and want the most efficient, stress-free way to see these UNESCO-style villages with great guidance, I highly recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful experience with our guide, Hemi, during our tour to Shirakawa-go. He accompanied me and my boyfriend and was extremely kind, friendly, and professional throughout the day. He explained everything in a very clear and detailed way, making the visit both interesting and easy to understand. He also created a relaxed and fun atmosphere, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Thanks to him, we discovered beautiful places and spent a truly lovely and memorable day. The best experience with the best guide!
