National Museum of Ghana

The National Museum of Ghana is in the Ghanaian capital, Accra. It is the largest and oldest of the six museums under the administration of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board. The museum building was opened on 5 March 1957 as part of Ghana's independence celebrations.

W.E.B. DuBois Center

The Du Bois Centre is a library to commemorate the late W.E.B DuBois. The centre consists of the museum which contains memorabilia and his personal library, the Open Air Theatre where intellectual seminars, lectures and workshops are held along with cultural events. In addition is the ‘Marcus Garvey’ guest house. The Centre was established in 1985 by the Ghana government to encourage visitors to contemplate the ideals to Pan Africanism and to reflect upon the work of Dr. Du Bois. The W .E. B. DuBois Centre for Pan African Culture was dedicated on 22nd June 1985 in Accra, Ghana.

Legon Botanical Gardens

The Legon Botanical Gardens is located in the University of Ghana, Accra. It is owned by the University of Ghana and managed by both the Department of Botany and Mulch Company Ltd. It has a natural vegetation of 50 hectares. It was founded in 1950. It is a recreational center with a playground, canopy walks, and natural outdoor space with lakes.

Kakum National Park

Tucked away in the Assin Attandanso Reserve is the Kakum National Park and Canopy Walkway that offers visitors spectacular scenery and a fascinating wildlife experience along with modern camping facilities. The park’s best-known feature is undoubtedly its 7 suspension bridges which form a 333-meter long canopy walkway, suspended up to 27 meters above the forest floor from trees that are over 300 years old. The canopy walk is only one of Kakum’s many delights. There are a variety of trails and guided walks that allow visitors to experience the solitude of the rainforest. It’s also a premier site for bird watchers, with over 300 species including eight species of global conservation concern. Mammals include forest elephant, leopard, bongo, bushbuck and many primates, but game viewing is difficult. Also, more than 600 butterfly species have been recorded.

Cape Coast Castle

Cape Coast Castle is one of about forty "slave castles", or large commercial forts, built on the Gold Coast of West Africa by European traders. It was originally a Portuguese "feitoria" or trading post, established in 1555, which they named Cabo Corso.

Elmina Castle

Elmina Castle was erected by the Portuguese in 1482 as Castelo de São Jorge da Mina, also known as Castelo da Mina or simply Mina, in present-day Elmina, Ghana. It was the first trading post built on the Gulf of Guinea, and the oldest European building in existence south of the Sahara.

Aburi Botanical Gardens

The Aburi Botanical Gardens is located in this peaceful environment with its mountainous area serving as one of the finest destination to enjoy a cool breeze. Its total land area is about one hundred and sixty (160) acres with only three (3) acres developed. The rest of the land was used as a botanical reserve. Tour around the gardens to know about the origin, age and medicinal properties of plants in the gardens. The main entrance welcoming with the palm walk comprising of an avenue of elegant palm (Roystonea regia) of about 274 meters long to the car park. Some other attractions at the Aburi Botanical Gardens: The Bush House, The Rock Garden, The Pergola or Lovers lane, The Ficus tree, The retired helicopter School of horticulture.

Aburi

TK Beads Industry (Ghana) was established in the year 1989 with a mission of producing high quality glass beads to both local and international consumers of interest in art and beauty. You will learn about the bead making process which consists of grinding down recycled glass bottles. The company is ran by Florence Asare (Director) and Kwesi Asare (Manager). The entire staff has been producing Bodom beads, beaded jewellery, collar, and buttons using traditional manufacturing practices passed down from previous generations.

You will take you breakfast between 6 AM to 10 AM after that we will process check out to the hotel at 11am GMT (Ghanaian time) and be shuttled to the Kotoka international airport
