The guides were very friendly and kind they didn't leave anyone behind while also helping everyone. An older person in my group was a little slower and they helped her through the ENTIRE trail. Amazing experience to do with the family

Unforgettable day and total highlight of our trip! It was a treat to travel to and into the jungle area of the island. Honestly this trip hiking and then floating through a butterfly fill lush green canyon was my version of Heaven on earth. I would do it again and already referred trip to friends traveling to PR. Treat yourself!

This experience was one of the best adventures that my dad and I have been on. The tour guides were extremely friendly and attentive. When you arrive at the meeting point, our guide was already waiting for us and gave us a run down. They tell you not to take your phones as they will take pictures for you, and they took many group pictures for us and sent them to us afterwards. The tour itself starts with a hike down a large hill and then you get into the river. We walked/swam through the river at a good pace with lot of stops to discuss scenery and history of the area around us. We stopped for a lunch break, saw some bats, walked through some caves, and then tubed back down the river to the original spot. I would say the hardest physical part of the tour was hiking back up the large hill that we walked down at the beginning. Overall, the 6 hour tour was definitely worth the money and it was a fantastic experience. There were about 23 people on our tour total and it never felt too big or cramped at any point. Before going on the tour, make sure you bring tennis shoes that you're ok with ruining and getting completely wet and muddy. If you don't have any shoes that you're willing to ruin, they do have a bucket of old tennis shoes from old tours that people didn't want to take home with them, so you could borrow a pair of those once you get to the meeting point.

We visited Puerto Rico in March of 2026 with our kids (18, 15 & 11). We stayed in Isla Verde area of San Juan and knew that it would be an early morning for us to get to this excursion but felt like it was a "must do", based on the ratings and reviews. Thankfully, Aventuro PR did not disappoint! We had a great time and would definitely recommend the tour and the tour guides! The pictures posted were accurate, but the reality was so much more beautiful, and it was a cool experience for my kids! This review may be long, and since I'm an overthinker, we were mostly prepared. It is worth the read because as amazing as it was and I would go again, I would have loved to have been specifically told a few things before going. *You must drive yourself, this location is remote, and car service will not be willing to drive or pick up. *Use ONLY the pin drop location given to you by the company, for the meet spot and be prepared to lose cell service, so take a screen shot of the directions before you leave. *if coming from San Juan, plan for at least 1.5 hour trip there and back, driving in back/narrow roads once you pass Arecibo. *Buy a "Dry Bag" for your towel, snacks and personal items. You will need a bag, but you will be walking in the river, and any other bag will get soaked. Amazon has them cheap along with a waterproof phone case. *Pack a change of clothes/shoes but leave it in the car. *The tour is at least 5-6 hours, starts on time, with no food or water provided. Bring your own snacks/drinks. *Do not wear "water shoes" You will be hiking/walking in the river for half the trip. The hiking on land is steep incline or decline with loose rocks underfoot. The walking/swimming in the river is bedded with slippery river rocks. The "floating" part of the river trip is at the end, the last hour. Wear tennis shoes/hiking shoes that have good grip and support, that you are willing get wet/muddy and throw away after. *Wear your bathing suit but definitely have dri-fit clothes over your bathing suit, you will be in a rainforest, not on a beach. *Would not recommend this trip for anyone with a condition that prohibits strenuous physical activity. *Cash Tip your tour guides! They do an amazing job and make it fun.

An amazing way to spend a day. The guide was informative and entertaining. The river and caves and caverns are spectacular. Highly recommend. There is a short steep hike that will wind you. You should be somewhat in shape. Don’t have to be fit - but there is hiking and a ton of spots to twist an ankle. You meet on the side of the road and follow the guides into the mountains for the hike. Be on time. On time is late. Early is on time.

Wonderful way to get off the beaten path and explore the beauty and nature of Puerto Rico. Jose, our tour guide, was excellent and took the time to explain some of the history of Puerto Rico and the caves we were exploring. Very informative and our two kids had a blast.

Very unique - guide drives group deep in cave area. One walk up a steep hilll can be difficult 150ft if not in good shape but can be done if go slow. Most difficult part. Sure little swims in cave area not difficult. Must have good clothes, toes shoes since we’ll be walking on rocks in and out of water. If heart good health well worth working out the legs. Wonderful experience! Guides Jose and Caesar were excellent made the experience memorable.

Excelente tour!!! SUPER Recommended!!! The tour guys were amazing!!! The overall activity was really cool, we went to a small hiking to get to the river then explore the cave. After exploring the cave, we did the tubing, which was amazing with some rapids and chill spots. I recommend take your normal shoes as you will hike a bit, and you WILL get wet, so please think about that!! Also take snake and water. Overall, please go don’t doubt.
