our tour is offered at the heart of a subtropical forest through private access and completely away from crowds. Following old trails left by our ancestors, we will arrive at the majestic Tanama River. Huge limestone formations and thousands of springs that surround the Tanama river walls will be our scenery as we hike during our excursion. During our trek, we will visit and explore the river banks, and caves while you are refreshing yourself at the Tanama River water. Immersed in our tour, interpretation, and story-telling will give you a more complete experience. After trekking through the river, we will retur tubing down the river in the calm waters until we reach more natural pools. We welcome you in exploring this hidden gem and offering you a locally rich and truly unique adventure.

A complete adventure! Good physical condition is required. Appreciate nature in a fun and educational way through many activities like hiking, cave exploring, river tracking, rock climbing, cliff jumping(optional), body rafting, free pictures,all safety equipment and much more. You will start out with a hike through the Tanama Forest located in the Northern Limestone Region of Puerto Rico. You will hike in the forest until reaching the Canyon. We will go floating down stream in favor of the current crossing huge natural cave tunnels passing mountains from one side to the other and relax yourself in the calm and delightful Tanama River waters. Here you will appreciate several natural water springs and incredible landscapes that this paradise provides. Through the canyon, the river current will allow you to float in specially selected places. This will be an adventure that you would never forget. Any questions, give us a call.

5.00Great adventure! Guides were very knowledgeable and helpful with both English and Spanish speakers. They made a point of pointing out the flora and historical importance of the area. Physically challenging so you need to be up for a challenge.

5.00This was probably the highlight of our week in Puerto Rico. I had not expected being in the river's cold water up to the neck at several points, but the views inside the canyon and caves carved by the river were so gratifying. This is really remote and there is quite a bit of driving to get there, plus some additional transportation on dirt roads and walking to get to the site. Walking upstream and floating down on tubes to get back (the most pleasant part) gave us different perspectives. They took photos of us and shared them with us at no extra cost, which was great (no need to bring cameras). I just wish there were more commentaries about the surrounding geology and nature, and it would have been perfect. The guides did not speak English very well.

5.00Excellent tour with kind, friendly guides who put your safety first! Follow all instructions provided to you by the guides as they are for your safety, guides will help you if needed. Start the day with a short walk to the river, expect to be wet from the refreshing river walk/trek. Few areas require you to swim, but guides are ready to help. 10/10 recommend , cant miss stop for your trip to PR!

5.00It is definitely a workout with the inclined hikes, climbing, mud, and slippery rocks but it was a great experience and I would do it again. There were times we had to go against the river current or even climb through small cave areas. So if claustrophobic, you may be a little bothered but its not often. You will also be submersing completely in the water so make sure to have waterproof bags so your personal items dont get wet. The tour guides helped make sure everyone was good and took breaks when needed. The views are beautiful through the cave!
We will remember for the rest of our lives.
