Both place’s were great but Tarragona was better than expected. I found the city very interesting. The guide did an excellent job explaining the most important about it.

We loved stopping in Tarragona 3 nights and from there visit Barcelona. Tarragona is very quiet, has very nice beaches. We arrived from Madrid by high-speed train, that station is in the upper part of the city. We got an excellent airbnb and very good prices, 2 blocks from the sea. To Barcelona we went on the common train, (there are 2 different train stations in Tarragona) that we had 10 minutes from our accommodation. There are collective lines to tour the city. The area is very safe. The Roman amphitheater of Tarragona is very cute, it is in the middle of town and close to the sea. The Ferraras Aqueduct, Devil's Bridge, is very good, but on the outskirts, you can get there by taking a bus from the terminal. The weather in late March was very nice, but not for beach days. We really liked Barcelona and we loved stopping in beautiful and quiet Tarragona.

This was a wonderful experience! Our guide, Rod, was fantastic. He was funny, informative, and very attentive to the needs of the older travelers in the group. Tarragona and Sitges are both absolutely beautiful. We loved getting out of Barcelona and just enjoying some beach time and soaking up some great history. We highly recommend this tour and especially our guide. He made the trip extra enjoyable!

Well paced and informative tour. I love Explore Catalunya’s tours and this one did not disappoint. The Roman ruins are stunning and Stiges is a beautiful city. Our tour guide was flexible and focused his comments based upon our interests. I travelled solo and felt very comfortable. The small group tour format is the way to go!

Sergi is a wonderful guide we have ever had and he made our trip so nice and memorable. He is always happy and enthusiastic. He explained a lot of history to us which made the trip so rich. The views are also fantastic. I would highly recommend this daily trip.

This small group tour was really nice. We could ask the guide many more questions about the local history which was very informative. The shops and beach areas in Tarragona and Stiges were wonderful.
