Our tour begins in the heart of the city, at the most important square in Modena, a UNESCO World Heritage site that showcases the charm and history of this vibrant city.
Mercato Albinelli
Next, we pass by the Albinelli Market, a covered market in the historic center of Modena. This iconic site, considered a national monument, offers a glimpse into the city’s culinary heritage, with its bustling stalls full of fresh local produce and traditional delicacies.

5.00Kayleigh gave us an excellent tour of the Modenese food scene. We had a fabulous platter of meats and cheeses. While it was being prepared, I mentioned to Kayleigh that I wanted to try lardo, which I had read about but never tasted. She had them add it to our platter and it was a delicious experience. I really appreciated that she made that additional effort. We went to a bakery where we got some samples and bought a few things; we liked it so much we returned afterward to get some more. We had some great pasta. She's very knowledgeable about both the food and the city and we had the good fortune of it being just the two of us on the tour, so it was a very personal experience. Nick says come hungry, leave happy!

5.00We had a lovely time on our food tour in Modena! Kayleigh was super informative and highly engaging the entire time, she was great! Highly recommend. She took us to taste balsamic vinegars, we had an aperitivo then delicious pasta and ended with gelato. Kayleigh also provided great recommendations, which was very helpful since we hadn’t visited Modena before. Thank you for a great experience!

5.00What a wonderful, well organized tasty tour! From the first stop (balsamic vinegar) to the last (gelato) we enjoyed great food and great company with Kayleigh, our local guide! She really made this tour special: organizing gluten free options due to my gluten allergy, answering all of our questions about Modena and living the Italian life, and finding the best locations with local food and wines! This will be a treasured memory of our time in Italy! Take this tour!!
