This was a great introduction to local food ‘Hong Kong style’. We visited places we would not have considered without this knowledge. Hody, our guide, was excellent.

We really appreciated our tour guide Ice and the terrific management of our group of 16 which she did so well. Her passion for Hong Kong, the people and food shone through on her commentary: stories including childhood experiences of motherly love shown through food and herbal soups …a great group of people also made our tour…we ate such variety and well. Delicious dim sum, pork, chicken, noodles, deepfried buttered peanut toast, silk stocking & lemon tea plus herbal preparations…3 hours was a perfect amount of time to spend in a cool part of the city. Learnt a lot. Visual feast. Thanks Ice!

Issac was an ideal guide - knowledgeable, communicative and flexible in adapting the tour to the preferences of the participants. We went to eating places I would never have tried by myself, but will now go back to. Thoroughly recommend this tour.

The food tour was very nice. Ms. Hody was perfect as a food tour guide who had in depth knowledge not only of the history, culture and knowledge about the local food but also an in depth knowledge of the town. We walked around the Sheung Wan area and got to taste the original local cuisine and also cuisine which was left behind by the colonial rulers adapted to local taste. Some of the food we ate was Dim Sum, Egg Waffle, Sliced pork meat and crispy pork belly, specialities of a local bakery including egg tart and iced milk tea. We had shrimp dumplings noodle soup and also local herbal tea. It was a very nice and memorable experience with Hody.

Jasmine was a fantastic tour guide. She was energetic, fun to be with and extremely knowledgeable in explaining the foods we were eating and the neighborhoods we traveled through. One word of advice-do not eat before going on this tour. There was such a variety of foods and the portions were not small. Ours was a family trip which included younger children(age 8) to grandparents, The tour consisted of easy walking with some steps but everyone enjoyed and had fun on this tour. We thought it was great and highly recommend it.

Ice, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the beautiful city of Hong Kong. If you love food, this is a tour for you to see some of the best places to grab some food like a local! She took us for some take away dim sum dumplings, shumai, chestnut jelly and white radish cake. Then off to get an egg tart that was fresh out of the oven! With a stop at a roasted meat place to taste char siu, roasted pork and pork belly, such crispy skin! Then a truly hidden gem, where got to share a bowl of macaroni with chicken stock and ham! Great breakfast items along with the Hong Kong special peanut butter filled French toast. She took us to a traditional medicinal 24 herb tea and the sweet 5 flower tea, pick your medicine! Never would have tried the Hong Kong egg waffle, but I’m glad this was a stop, because, this is not to be missed! Crispy and soft airy inside. The tour took us into a wanton noodle soup restaurant and Ice explained what the broth was made of, come hungry! The tour finished off in a tiny little Chinese tea shop and the owner was great and excited to share Chinese traditional tea of oolong. What a fun way to explore the smaller, local hidden gems that most tourist will miss.
