What To Expect

Respecting the philosophy of great red wines, and the terms defined for the aging in wood here we find rows of enormous Slavonian oak barrels, perfectly conserved, where lie thousands of hectolitres of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, and other rows with dozens of tonneaux and barrique barrels made of quality French wood. In the other areas of the historic cellar one is pushed and squeezed gradually into the buried depths of the sandy tufa to penetrate into the twilight, suggestive paths of tunnels have been created from which fossils have been found denoting its very ancient origins.

The tour was delightful. The location is beautiful, and we learned a bit of history along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting (six different wines with appetizers) and the locale - Montepulciano is quite charming!

Really fun tour of their cellars and the wine tasting afterwards was also great. The cellars themselves were beautiful and so old. Tour guide was also fun and informative.

We had such a lovely tour with our tour guide. He gave us the history of the underground cellar and it ended with a wine tasting and a small plate of charcuterie.
Highly recommended. Light food is served as a complement to the wines.

Our guide was great! Very personable, approachable and knowledgeable . The cellars are spectacular. The wine tasting afterward was also very well done. No novice would have felt intimidated during the tasting.

Wonderful tour that was reasonably priced. The guide was great, covered the rich history of the winery and showed us around the oldest cellars in Montepulciano. The wines were also amazing! Highly recommend

Truly a wonderful experience, a can't miss in our opinion. The history alone and the tour (our tour guide Debbie was fantastic - plenty of opportunities to take pictures and it was paced incredibly well)) were worth every penny, but then to also have the opportunity to taste test six different wines at the end along with some cheeses, meats and bruschetta were a perfect ending to the tour. Highly recommend if you cherish history and beautiful tasting wines!

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. The history behind the wine and cellar was amazing. The wine and snacks were delicious. We recommended the tour to others in our hotel. They ended up going the next day and loved it as well.
