Paddle out to the middle of the wonderfully calm Lake McLaren in a 18 seater canoe if you are from a Cruise Ship, where serenity takes a new name. On days when there is no Cruise Ship in the Port of Tauranga you will be in kayaks

Scenic Lake McLaren Kanu Tour

Duration: 4 hours: Approximately a 3.5 hour excursion departing from and returning to the passenger entry to the Port of Tauranga.
Departure Point: This tour departs and returns from the Passenger Entry to the Port of Tauranga.
Kanu: This tour is operated in one of our Big Kanu's a unique family friendly and accessible option for all ages.

What an amazing experience! Our tour guide Leo really made the experience. He was knowledgeable, friendly and a great guide overall. The scenery was spectacular, and the size of the group is perfect. Would highly recommend!

Easy kayaking on the river. Beatiful scenery, especially in the little canyon. Guide was friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. Definitely worth it :)

We signed up for a kayak tour, what we got was a large canoe that held 8 other couples. We had to paddle with a heavy oar. Paddling on a kayak would have been much easier and more fun. That being said, the tour guides were wonderful and knowledgeable and insightful. The canyon area was beautiful but since it was daytime we didn’t see glow worms, but this trip wasn’t adversitied to see them so that was expected. If we’d have had kayaks I’d give this 5 stars.

The lake was amazing. Very serene and amazingly beautiful. Guides were also awesome. Only drawback was this was not the kayaking trip that I expected. It was a large canoe that held all 12 of the guests. I would prefer to have a kayak of my own. For that reason I would not recommend.
