5.00Driver Gary was at the meeting point early and drove the group about 90 minutes to Hells Gate. He provided great commentary driving through town, along the beautiful Bay of Plenty and over the scenic hills and dales to Rotorua. The walk in the Geothermal Park was just amazing. And the mud bath and spa relaxing and fun. Then back in the van for a ride back to the ship well ahead of final. boarding time. Just a terrific adventure overall.

5.00The Hells Gate tour was by far the most interesting tour we took during our time in New Zealand. Our guide "Cookie" was awesome and his knowledge of the area was outstanding. We had never done a mud bath but the entire Hells Gate experience is one we'll always remember. I very highly recommend "Things To Do In Tauranga". I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

4.00Came off a cruise ship, met at the red flag and waited for Alan to take us to the Geothermal Park. The drive took over an hour (traffic from the cruise passengers affected the city lol), with some useful commentaries. Comfortable bus. He then handed us over to the staff at the location who gave us quick instructions for a self-guided tour, followed by mud bath. The walk was interesting. Mud bath is timed for 20 minutes with unlimited time afterwards to spend in the Sulfur pool. Overall a very interesting experience and relaxing! Alan was great, catering for our dinner time also, as the trip ran a little late. Tickets are cheaper at the gates but would require you getting yourself there and back somehow. Loved the free wifi on the bus trip too! Highly recommended.

5.00My partner and I had an amazing time on the Hells Gate tour, it truly exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, Alan was an incredible guide. His commentary during the drive both to and from the tour was informative, entertaining, and added so much to the overall experience. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and his passion made the day even more memorable. The mud spa was an absolute highlight! It was such a unique and fun experience, and we’re so glad we didn’t miss out on it. Relaxing in the geothermal mud and sulphur spa was unlike anything we’ve done before. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Highly recommend this experience. Thank you Alan!

5.00Fun hot mud soak. Went at 10am for opening and it was really quiet. Mud bath was timed (20 minutes, quite enough) but we could spend as long as we liked in the spa pools relaxing.

5.00Perfect tour, we visited by cruise ship. Sticky, our driver, was waiting next to the port gate with his bus exactly as per the instructions we got beforehand. He explained a lot of details around the part of the country we were driving through on our way to Hell’s Gate. The mud bath experience itself was great, would love to do it again. The tour took exactly 5 hours, 1 hour driving time each way and 3 full hours in the mud spa. Must to excursion when visiting Tauranga port!

Even took us on a bonus trip to the town after wards for more sightseeing which wasn’t included but was awesome he still took us out for this!! Thanks again!! This was a great day out!! :)
