This visit was a highlight of my travels! It was very interesting to see a completely different world and how the locals live, work, and interact with each other. Lucas was the perfect guide and is also an outstanding photographer in case you want great pictures! The locals were so friendly, especially the children. They are very happy to see you and love taking pictures with you! Lucas knew the neighborhood well, so the walking around was done efficiently.

A great opportunity to observe and connect with one of Kenya’s most vulnerable communities. The tour provides insights not only into the circumstances of the community but also into the innovations employed for sustenance and ultimate survival.

A humbling and beautiful experience through a vibrant and soulful community. Benjamin led an amazing tour and provided so much insightful context and statistics about Kibera. The tour felt safe and all hosts shared incredible stories of their lives and experiences. Impossible not to see how tightly knit the community is and appreciate the value this has. Asante sana!

We very much enjoyed our tour with Lucas and Michael. We could ask them anything! Kibera residents consider it their community, not a slum. Despite abject poverty, the people work together to improve conditions. We found the people to be friendly and outgoing. The children are adorable and readily come to say hi and get a high five. Overall, an eye-opening experience and one we encourage others to try.

One of the main things I wanted for my trip to Nairobi was to meet people from all different backgrounds and communities. That is why I decided to take this tour to Kibera. Luca was my guide, he is from Kibera and had a lot to share about his community. I got to meet projects lead by people from the community who are building self-sustainable ways to improve the living conditions of their community. I really recommend this tour for everyone to take, it is a great opportunity for you to meet a community with beautiful and smart people that regardless of life's difficulties, they can convey a lot of hope and strength.

Lucas came to pick us up at our residence and took us to Kibera by matatu, explaining us the system of the transport and telling us about the matatu culture. We had a good stroll around Kibera and he has been really thoughtful and kind all the time; he asked us what our main interests were and took us around accordingly. very nice experience, thank you Lucas!
