I’m a native Osaka people. My mother high school has Shinto; Japanese original religion, and I had Shinto classes and routine tests also. I read Kojiki which is Shinto bible. I touched the Shinto way of thinking, and it made me feel important that I visit Shinto shrine as Japanese. Now I regularly visit a local shrine near the place I’m living in. Currently, I’m managing own hostel in Osaka, it’s fun that I can share the experiences for the guest from all over the world.
In Osaka, there is a pilgrim's journey called “Naniwa Shichi-kō Meguri” visiting Japanese Buddism Shinto shrines. The concept is “Bringing you seven types of luck” and “You can get seven benefits”. This tour is also a stamp rally, we visit temples and shrines and collect their red ink stamps in your own traditional stamp book. I give you the traditional stamp book when we start the tour. I enjoyably tell you about the history of each shrine and temple we visit. Of course, I love to talk about cultural exchange also.
