This hiking tour combines a short visit to the famous Enchanted Forest with a longer guided route through a remote, less-traveled part of the Anaga Mountains. The trail features volcanic ridges, lush valleys, a historic water channel, and views of a cave village carved into the rock.
It includes a picnic lunch in nature, often enjoyed in a cave or on a scenic slope — a rare addition that deepens the connection with the environment and offers a quiet moment during the hike.
Guests are picked up from southern and eastern coastal areas and transported in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan, providing easy access from the island’s main tourist zones where most visitors stay.
The small group is led by a knowledgeable guide who shares stories and insights in a relaxed and personal way.
This full-day experience crosses multiple microclimates and is ideal for nature lovers seeking a meaningful, off-the-beaten-path adventure.

Explore Tenerife’s Anaga Mountains and Enchanted Forest on a guided full-day hike with scenic viewpoints, volcanic ridges, laurel woodland, a cave village, and photo memories. We pick you up from your hotel or apartment and head into Anaga Rural Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Inside the park, we make one or two scenic stops, depending on weather and visibility, to enjoy panoramic views of Tenerife’s landscape. We briefly pass through the Enchanted Forest, a mossy, misty laurel woodland — just enough to feel its magic and take a few memorable photos. Your guide shares stories and insights in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere throughout the day. On the way to a remote area of Anaga, where the main hike begins, you’ll see a cave village carved into the rock — a glimpse into traditional island life. The trail (approx. 7 km, 230 m elevation) winds through ridges, green valleys, and ends along a historic water channel. Moderate difficulty, varied terrain. We enjoy a picnic in nature — in a cave or on a slope, depending on conditions. The hike lasts 3.5–4.5 hours; the full tour takes about 7 hours. After the tour, you’ll receive 20–40 digital photos as a memory of your day in Anaga.

We did the hike with our 8-year-old daughter. It was exceptionally hot due to the calima wind and high UV: fortunately we were well prepared with enough water, sunscreen and proper hiking boots. Alex, our guide, provided us with hiking sticks and torches. It was an amazing experience with breathtaking views, great anecdotes, tasty snacks and interesting information. Alex is very attentive, calm and has a great sense of humour. Thanks again, Alex, we loved it all through! Visiors: go for it but take precautions seriously.

I booked this based on the amazing reviews & I certainly wasn’t disappointed. The Enchanted Forest is a magical experience & not to be missed. The hike stands out as something really quite spectacular & the views contend impressively with the best of Madeira. It even follows a levada! The walking poles and helmet are a must and really adds to the adventure. I’d suggest this is a moderate challenge hike & suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. As for the operation, an email detailing possible conditions and what to bring was super helpful & the communication regarding pick up was fantastic! Alex was amazing! Great fun, insightful and with a good knowledge of local interesting facts. My group was a real mix of abilities and Alex did an amazing job of meeting the differing needs of the group and keeping things going at a good pace. If struggling to choose your trips, I urge you to choose this one!

Very nice trip in Anaga. We got to see some areas of the national park, viewpoint etc before we started on the very walk. Alex was a good guide, took a lot of good photos, explained a little about nature etc.

I visited Anaga a few days ago with Alex and a small group, and it was truly one of the most breathtaking experiences of my life. Having traveled to many places around the world, I can confidently say that Anaga stands out as something extraordinary. The landscapes were mesmerizing — from misty forests to panoramic mountain views, every turn felt like stepping into a dream. I especially loved the Enchanted Forest, which lives up to its name with its mysterious, fairytale-like atmosphere. What made the trip even more special was Alex’s guidance. He not only knew the best hiking routes and photo spots but also made the entire experience fun, insightful, and unforgettable. Thanks to his expertise, we explored a variety of trails that showed Anaga’s beauty from many different angles. I 100% recommend visiting Anaga — and if you can, ask Alex to be your guide. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will stay with you forever. 🌿💚

I was hiking through the Anaga relict forest and mountain ranges. It is interesting to walk an unusual route along canals and small trails. First, you climb the mountain, then you gradually descend. Along the way, you meet goats, lizards, and lots of cactus and agave. Alex is an experienced, knowledgeable, and very cheerful guide. You will confidently move forward, observing nature and engaging in conversation with the group and your guide.

Absolutely stunning nature spiced up with fun and interesting facts and stories from our really nice tour guide Alex. The hike itself was fun with different types of trails. If you are used to hiking it is an easy hike.

We got picked up from our hotel in morning and went straight to the Anaga enchanted forest for a few stops in select areas. We then embarked on a 3 and a half hour hike in the mountains near Anaga. It was challenging but not too strenuous. The highlight was a trek along the water channel dug into (and through!) the mountainside overlooking a deep valley with spectacular views. We even had our picnic lunch in a cave overlooking the valley. Alex was a great guide- informative and humorous. Highly recommended.

An excellent window onto an environment most visitors to Tenerife will not even know exists. The arrangements for the pick up worked perfectly. The walk was 'moderate' it terms of difficulty, but definately not for the inexperienced. The highlight is going 'off piste' and walking an old 'levada' through dramatic and precipitous scenery. You could not do this on your own, because you would not know it was there. Alex was a thoughtful and considerate guide who delivered a memorable trip. I would recommend to anyone who is a regular walker.

Impressive and very varied hiking tour. Alex was a likeable and fun guide. But the tour is not a walk, what is necessary is adequate equipment, and surefootedness!
