Along the way, you’ll experience varied terrain — forest paths, mountain ridges, and short tunnel sections — in places that are often quiet and uncrowded.
The tour is well suited for cruise guests visiting Tenerife, offering a rare opportunity to explore these landscapes within a single day. Pickup and transport in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan make the logistics easy, while the small-group format keeps the experience personal.

Spend a full day exploring the Anaga Mountains on a guided hiking tour in Tenerife’s UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, away from the busy resorts. Pickup is provided from the southern or eastern coastal areas, followed by a drive to Anaga. You’ll start with a short introductory walk (about 25–35 minutes) in the misty Enchanted Forest, where laurel trees and shifting clouds create a unique atmosphere. In clear weather, you may also catch distant views of Mount Teide. Next, travel by vehicle to the main trailhead, passing a still-inhabited cliffside cave village along the way. The main hike follows mountain trails across ridges, forested slopes, and valleys, with varied terrain and constantly changing scenery. Your guide shares insights into the region’s nature, history, and everyday life, and a relaxed picnic break is included (hilltop or inside a cave, depending on conditions). This experience works well for experienced hikers and for first-timers in good general physical condition, but it does involve uneven terrain and narrow paths. The route ends with a short but physically demanding final climb. After the tour, you’ll receive 20–30 digital photos taken throughout the day.

This was hands down the highlight of our trip to Tenerife. Anaga feels like another world — lush green forests, dramatic views, and trails you’d never find on your own. The tour is perfectly organized, with a great balance of adventure, nature, and comfort. You’re not just walking — you’re experiencing the island in a way that stays with you. If you’re even thinking about it — just go.

My boyfriend and I did this on a trip to Tenerife and it was our favorite thing we did on our entire vacation. Our guide, Alex, was excellent - perfect mix of adventure, enjoying the beauty of nature, and humor. It was by far the most incredible part of our trip.

We were able to experience a great hiking tour with Alex today. In a playful and humorous way, he made the tour an experience for all of us. He paid equal attention to all group members. I was there with my 14-year-old son. We were fascinated by the beautiful scenery and also had exciting moments walking a partially secured path. Again, Alex took away our fears and explained nature in a friendly way. For me the trip was not always easy due to my constitution, but it was the highlight of my holiday with my son in Tenerife for me. Thanks to Alex and his team. The pick-up and return transfer was organized and carried out individually by Alex. On the side we had snacks, a sandwich and something to drink. The nicest thing I found tonight was his message with super many beautiful photos of today's hike in high resolution quality for download. Warm recommendation for all nature-loving people who are mindful 😉

Really enjoyed the hike. The guide (Alex) kept the hike interesting the whole time and knows a lot of facts about surroundings and he is funny too! Our group had good fitness level and Alex adjusts the hike accordingly. Don’t be afraid to sign up if you aren’t a seasoned hiker. Highly recommending and it’s the way to actually explore Tenerife!

It was a unique hiking experience that is impossible (or almost impossible) to get on your own, but with a guide discover completely new species! Alex is a super guide who knows with a great sense of humor, takes care of the comfort of all participants. During the haik there was enough rest for everyone to go at their own pace, but there were also stretches of tension, which was clearly offset by the reward of a fantastic new view:)

We had a great experience with our tour guide Alex who was very attentive and knowledgeable. Our pick up was early in the morning (7h30) but on-time from Los Gigantes. We were a small group of 6. The first part of the tour is a short walk in the Enchanted Forest which does feel a little magical like a walking in a fairy tale. We were there early in the morning and had the impression to be alone with our group. When being utterly silent you could hear the water drops falling from the moisture that collects on the moss trees. The second and biggest part of the tour is the hike in the Anaga mountains we got well equipped with walking sticks, helmet and flash light. Impressive views of mountains and sea, narrow paths through tunnels and following an old water channel. We even got lucky and had goat encounters twice during the hike. In the middle of the hike we had a picnic stop with a sandwich, nuts and juice on a very nice viewpoint surrounded by green mountains and looking out on the sea. The complete hike took about 4 hours for 5.75km and 285m elevation gain. I would recommend having a good condition and some hiking experience to do this tour. Also good hiking shoes are recommended. We were wearing sneakers ourselves, which was ok, but decent hiking shoes would have been more comfortable for better grip. We very much enjoyed the tour and would recommend if you like to hike and being in nature off the beaten tourist tracks.

Very interesting hike along unusual track. Sometimes pretty scary hights to look down. Alex the guide did a good job and took good care of everything.

This was an amazing, but rigorous trip. The basic facts are ( from Apple Watch), 6 miles and 88 flights of stairs climbed over a 7 hour day. We are two men in our 60s and did okay, but there are some places that are a bit scary and the drops are steep. Still, the views are amazing and Alex is very patient and helpful for everyone’s different abilities. We’re a bit stiff but very glad we did it. This is a very, very worthwhile tour.

A nice walk in forest and mountains. Beautiful views. Guide Alex is humorous and tells a lot of the area. He also makes sure the pace is right. Watch out for stragglers. You need a little bit of fitness and good shoes.
