The Huguenot Mill and Loft is an incredibly beautiful historic building. Expertly maintained, it was originally where the French Protestants created a new life for themselves. They became a huge part of our textile industry, and now you can check out the incredible exterior. (It now serves as private offices and a wedding spot, so we need to remain outside).

5.00Wow! This tour exceeded our expectations and our expectations were high. We have been on many walking tours but none as personalized as this tour. Our goals were to get acclimated to downtown Greenville, to find restaurants that fit our tastes and to find pleasant places for walks. Walter scored a 10 on all three! He helped us understand how the town was laid out and the key streets for the things that interested us. He offered his opinions about restaurants, and those recommendations were clearly based on his personal experiences, not something he read in a guidebook. He continuously confirmed that we were satisfied and offered options for us to choose from. Greenville is an amazing town. Our hour with Walter was infinitely flexible and focused on the our areas of interest. Highly, highly recommend.

5.00Walter was incredibly knowledgeable of local history, both oral and official. He has many fun facts that are only acquired from a lifetime of being curious about your home. He did an excellent job and was very cognizant of our whole group including making sure we stopped in shady places to keep the baby out of the sun as much as possible. 6 out of 5 starts.
