The tour guide, Mat, is a well informed and a very lively person. He made all efforts to make us the best of the tour.

Our guide, Damien, picked us up in a car. Little confusing, bc the info noted a small van or bus. There was only 2 of us, and another car/guide followed us with 3 people. I’m not sure what would have happened if the group had 4 people.. seems they would have been a little squished in the car. But, we were comfortable with being only 2… first we drove to a convenient store to get the snacks the tour indicated we would receive and then we were off. Guide did spend time on the phone, but mostly bc he was getting updates about weather in different areas. The weather was not great for the lights- it was rainy and windy. He did drive to a few spots were we didn’t see anything. But, finally, as we were driving along, he did see them and we pulled over quickly. Didn’t see them for long, but we did see them. Damien took our pics with the lights, and of the lights themselves so we could just enjoy the sight. Afterward, the guides did build a small fire and we chatted with the group from the 2nd car, which was nice. Very small, intimate group so felt like we were alone in the world in a beautiful setting overhead. Offered some cocco/coffee while we were in front of fire as well. Then headed home.. out stops offered on way home since car obviously didn’t have a bathroom. Driven straight to our hotel for drop off.

Booked this tour as it had lots of great reviews originally when we booked it. We were really disappointed, we got picked up 3 hours after start time which we thought was due to weather but now we are not so sure. The guide was nice and friendly but we were picked up in a small cramped Audi where we had to squeeze in the back with another couple. We couldn’t even fasten our seatbelts properly and were literally sitting on top of each other. The middle seat doesn’t even feel like a middle seat and the lucky middle person gets to spend hours with no where to put there legs. The driver also didn’t drive very safely. The only saving grace of this tour was the other couple being so nice otherwise it would have been extremely awkward. The tour should have been cancelled as they said 100% cloud cover but it wasn’t and now we are out of pocket. Book another tour, not this one.

We had a wonderful time! Our guide took us off the beaten path to a spot that was perfect for aurora viewing. He was friendly and informative. We did see the aurora for a short time during a break in the clouds.

Really small car for 5 people (4 guests and the driver), but nice tour. We did get to see the Northern Lights through our camera only. Had hot chocolate.
