Welcome to the only place in Montreal that will teach you how to make Montreal bagels!
Montreal bagels are world famous for their shape, taste and texture. A trip to Montreal isn't complete until you've tried one of these amazing bagels. So why not try your hand at making them yourself? We will teach you the secrets on how to make some deliciously unique authentic Montreal style bagels at home, the easy way.
We will start by learning how to properly mix and knead the dough. We will discuss how different flours and water amounts affect the final texture of the dough and crust. I have adapted the best Boulanger (Bread Maker) techniques to the home kitchen. You will become a confident baker at home in no time!
We will go step by step from mixing the dough, letting it rest, to shaping the bagels, to boiling them, dressing them with various toppings, baking them and finally eating them!
This workshop is super hands on so this is far from the "Watch the pro" type workshops out there.

What To Expect
With the help of my beautiful, Interior designer, girlfriend, we have just opened our brand new The Bagel Class Studio! Cozy, heart warming design will make the studio space feel like home. This is meant to be a pleasant experience for everyone so every aspect of the workshop has been carefully designed to appeal.

5.00Will was absolutely terrific teaching the group! Engaging, funny, good pace and best of all patience. This part of a birthday celebration for my wife and she had a wonderful time. We brought a couple friends with us to share in the experience and they came away thoroughly enjoying the class. Certainly can't be eating the results of our work!

5.00This was a highlight of my Montréal trip. The instructor was funny and informative. It was great opportunity for some social interaction with the other students for this solo traveler. Also, the satisfaction of eating fresh bagels that you just helped to make can’t be understated. Also, I found that this recipe made a more flavorful bagel than the ones I got from either of the twin giants of the Montreal bagel scene. Plus, you get to take a printed recipe home with you.
