The Express Whale Watch/ Molokini Snorkel is a great way to combine snorkeling at Molokini with a whale watching adventure on a fast and maneuverable rigid hulled inflatable. We almost always make it to Molokini on this one, but if conditions are not favorable, a shoreline alternate may be selected.
Your passage to and from Molokini will take you through waters laden with Humpback whales with a high percentage of mother/calf/escort pods. Just today a whale surfaced less than ten yards from our boat and lifted her calf out of the water on her head to show us. Awesome! About one hour is devoted to snorkeling, and 1 1/2 hours to passage and whale watching. Beverages and gear are included.

5.00This was the best snorkeling I’ve ever done. The boat is small and even with 24 people there was room to spare and we never felt squished. Our 11 year-old son was nervous and they made sure he had an extra float and tons of reassurance. It really made the whole experience awesome for him. The guides showed us where to go and set us free at the perfect time when the big boats were leaving the crater. Highly recommend this tour! My elderly mom went just to watch and even though we were out of whale season and didn’t see any, she also enjoyed it. Smooth ride for a small boat.
Don’t waste any of your vacation time here

1.00Had reservations for Saturday and they were canceled due to wind which is fine- we rescheduled for Saturday and showed up and we weren’t on the manifest and there was no room to take us. Called them and the guy said “oh I see what happened the owner was notified but she didn’t see it” and he put me on hold to speak with her. He came back and offered me a free upgrade for tomorrow but we fly out tonight. They gave me a refund but I have to call trip advisor to process it. I took several hours of my precious vacation time for this that I can’t get back. We were only on Maui for 3 days and this took up significant time on two separate days that we could have been enjoying the island. They were barely apologetic and extremely disorganized. Wouldn’t recommend wasting any of your vacation time with this company.
Blue Water Rafting Canceled and will NOT REFUND

1.00March, 2026 I signed up and paid for the Blue Water Rafting trip to Molokini and whale watch. Per the policy, a refund will be given if they cancel the trip. They canceled the trip the morning of claiming wind, even though other boats were doing the same trip. They refuse to refund my money and refuse to respond to my emails and phone calls. Not only were we disappointed that our excursion was canceled, we are out $478.83. I had to resort to disputing the charge with my credit card which will take months to resolve. Do not book with Blue Water Rafting.

5.00Rachel and Alex were awesome! We enjoyed the trip. Saw lots of whales and snorkel and see beautiful fish. Rachel was very knowledgeable about everything we saw, and she even shared underwater videos. She got of the whales with us afterward.

5.00Rachel and Alex were so awesome at spotting whales and were able to get the boat really close for viewing! We even got to check out an additional snorkeling spot that was a cool reef drop off section that Nemo was inspired by. They were super nice, funny, and comfortable gear was provided. Loved that the boat was small, and that we went later so molokini wasn’t too crowded (we were the last boat there on our day). Would go on another tour with them anytime!

5.00My wife and I have been on many whale watching trips. This was by far the most amazing. Alex and Rachel were knowledgeable - giving us tips and information we hadn't had any previous guides tell us. After the snorkel Alex went on a whale hunt. We saw whale breeches (at least 6), fluke pounding ( 2 whales were going repeatedly slapping their flukes), a baby whale learning to jump. Alex suggested filming underwater when the whales came along side the boat (great video of that). We definitely recommend Alex and Rachel. Their banter was on-going, they were engaging with the passengers. They are the worth using.

5.00Alex and Rachel were great! Snorkeled Molokini and the reef out in front. Also saw tons of whales, including breaching and baby whales and most close in! We always use this outfit, and they do not disappoint.

5.00We saw a lot of whales, it was amazing! Our tour was initially cancelled a few times due to bad weather, which we appreciated for safety reasons. However, Brooklyn was incredibly accommodating, helping us rebook so we could have the full experience. Our crew, Joey and Kanoe, did a great job ensuring we had a safe and enjoyable trip. I highly recommend them!
