What To Expect
Samaipata
The tour departs from Samaipata. You will be picked-up from your hotel or the meeting point (main square), then take a car ride of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach the trailhead. The first part of the trail is physically demanding, as it consists of a continuous uphill climb. After that, the hike continues along the ridge of the mountains, offering stunning views. Upon arriving at the Condor’s Nest, visitors have free time to photograph the condors and enjoy a snack. After that, the return follows a different trail, offering distant views of the majestic Codo de los Andes. The tour can also be combined with a visit to the La Pajcha Waterfall. Full-day Tour Option A: Hike to the Condor’s Nest and return directly to Samaipata. Full-day Tour Option B: After visiting the Condor’s Nest, continue by vehicle (20 minutes) to La Pajcha Waterfall, where you’ll have one hour to swim and relax — an experience truly worth it.
