The Deathly Dark Tour of York is a grim and theatrical, dark comedy walking tour, perfect for those who have a bit of a wicked streak and are looking to explore the dark and spooky history of the city with one of our guides, famous for their wonderfully dark sense of humour.
Please note, this is NOT a scare attraction, it is a storytelling experience.
The tour is family friendly, but some may find the stories frightening. Children must remain with their parent/guardian at all times.
Tour group size is 20-50 people, although this will change depending on the season. Private and small group tours are available on request.

5.00Excellent stroll around the beautiful but very cold city of York. Daria Deathly was a super, crazy chaotic guide. Ticket price was money well spent. 90 minutes of fun, laughter, scares and thrills. Audiences participation improved the whole evening. We were a small select group of mixed ages. Pace of the walking in the tour was comfortable for everyone. Would truely recommend you give this tour 90 minutes of your stay in York especially on a dark cold evening. 👻
A must if you haven’t been to York before.

5.00What a brilliant way to explore York and the hidden stories that come with it. Dalton our tour guide made it that more enjoyable. With a large group of about 50 of us. Which made it that more fun. It’s definitely a must if you’re going to York. And even better in the dark like our tour.

5.00A very fun date night and a great way to see York. Our tour guide Dalton was really knowledgeable and witty and created a great atmosphere. The tour was around 90 minutes and a good price. Would recommend!

5.00Outstanding Tour! For all ages to enjoy the detailed scary and amusing stories of the past. Dante was an amazing storyteller and guide. Even with Cold Temps and Rain our entire group of 25 stayed the entire 90 minutes. Wear warm clothes and bring an umbrella. Totally worth it. The storytelling is fascinating and will move the time by very quickly because you become engrossed. Great tour!

5.00Dalton was brilliant! His story telling was fabulous and we had a really great night! It was a fun activity with ghostly stories and humour thrown in too, Dalton worked hard to get people involved and it was a great way to see different parts of the city at night! Would recommend!
