My first ghost tour, and I would thoroughly recommend to everyone to go on one. Daria was a fantastic story teller, engaging and funny, she told so many great stories of York. Giving us a great history lesson of the place, and so many great sites. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants an informative and unforgettable experience.

Deathly Dark Deeds with Dante were a definite delight! Although it was still daylight, the stories told in the backstreets and snickleways were creepy and chilling Dante was such a captivating storyteller - with dark humour and suspense (and more than the occasional fright!) - wonderfully theatrical and thrilling throughout! Good entertainment for the adults and smaller people and a good grounding to the ghostly going-ons in this legendary city! Well worth the price - our favourite experience in York! Thanks Dante and all the team Addy & Bally

We had a great time on this tour. It lasts about an hour and a half, and does a great job of taking you through the streets of York, all whilst learning about its dark history. The real strength is your tour guide, who stays in character for the duration of the tour, and who is clearly passionate about the topic to hand. Highly recommended!!

Dante was excellent. He is so amazing theatrically and his ability to awe the crowd was wonderful. His flexibility and improvisation to master all eventualities added to the experience. The best ghost tour ever experienced.

We joined The Deathly Dark Tour of York this evening and it was spectacular. Davina was a superb guide for our evening walk. Her storytelling is brilliant, engaging, and dramatic. She is very entertaining and has a great way of making even the creepiest stories really funny. It was such a wonderful way to see York after dark and she kept us laughing the whole way. Definitely a 10/10 experience.

We joined the Deathly Dark Tour in York and it was genuinely one of the highlights of our trip. The guide was hilarious, sharp, and full of energy — the perfect mix of dark humour, history, and theatrical storytelling. The route was well‑paced, the stories were engaging, and the whole experience felt immersive without ever being too heavy. If you enjoy learning strange, spooky, and surprising bits of history while laughing the whole way through, this tour is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.

It is the quirky fun everyday people side of history, told in a fun and interactive way. Sure, some of the stories are pretty horrible - but history is pretty horrific! It was our second time doing this tour. We came with a new group this time and wanted the others to enjoy it.

Such a fun tour! We had Dalton Deathly as our tour guide; he was fun, immersive and made 2 hours feel like 15 minutes. With such passion, who wouldn’t believe in ghosts! An amazing spookoligist!

We had a small issue as our guide was ill, but they offered us multiple other slots to choose from and great communication we were easily booked on to the tour an hour before. Our guide was amazing! He talked about the stories very passionately and full of energy and made us jump multiple times. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting York, it was a great and unique experience.
