The Deathly Dark Tour of York is a grim and theatrical, dark comedy walking tour, perfect for those who have a bit of a wicked streak and are looking to explore the dark and spooky history of the city with one of our guides, famous for their wonderfully dark sense of humour.
Please note, this is NOT a scare attraction, it is a storytelling experience.
The tour is family friendly, but some may find the stories frightening. Children must remain with their parent/guardian at all times.
Tour group size is 20-50 people, although this will change depending on the season. Private and small group tours are available on request.

5.00Despite the worst rain ever, our ghost walk turned out to be an unforgettable experience. Our ghost hunter/guide was absolutely amazing — he kept us laughing, engaged, and completely drawn into every story, no matter how soaked we were! His energy and enthusiasm never faded, and it made the whole night so much fun. We enjoyed every minute and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. Rain or shine, you’re guaranteed a great time with this guide!

5.00‘Davith the deathly’ (from Wales) was an awesome entertaining spooky tour guide. Went with my 13 year old daughter and we loved it! Would highly recommend.
100% recommend. Dalton is fantastic.

5.00We booked this as a family of 4 and we absolutely loved it! Dalton was incredible, engaging, informative and considering it was raining the entire time. He still made it very fun! Would 100% recommend! The stories were great in scare factor and variety!

5.00Amazing experience! The guide was really interactive and made it really fun! Good mix of scary and comedy, kept us entertained on a cold, windy night! Good price and a good length of activity. We had a group of 40 but it felt like you were getting a personal experience.

5.00Well, well, well! No, not 3 holes in the ground full of water, just the start of my review. Attended the Ghost Walk last night, and wish it was longer if I’m honest! Informative, interesting and insightful, Dalton was absolutely brilliant and hilarious guide. He even maintained his professional nature when a lady completely collapsed by the Plague House. Oddly enough when he was talking about a Poltergeist…. Various points along the journey were made into hilarity, such as when the EMF meter spiked around my Mum and she was told she was possessed by a Barghest. Along with two other people, not just my mum, I might add! Quite openly, the evening was full of laughter, wisdom and mystery. Dalton is a natural storyteller, born showman and all round good person. A 10/10 evening!

5.00We went around with dalton. Me and my partner loved it! Even tho my partner isnt a big fan of ghost stories ect. He enjoyed it as dalton was funny! My first ever ghost tour and i absolutely loved it! 👻 Be defo going on another one when we revisit york! Id defo recommend!
