The Deathly Dark Tour of York is a grim and theatrical, dark comedy walking tour, perfect for those who have a bit of a wicked streak and are looking to explore the dark and spooky history of the city with one of our guides, famous for their wonderfully dark sense of humour.
Please note, this is NOT a scare attraction, it is a storytelling experience.
The tour is family friendly, but some may find the stories upsetting. If you have a specific phobia or trigger please reach out to us before booking.
Children must remain with their parent/guardian at all times.
Tour group size is 20-50 people, although this will change depending on the season. Private and small group tours are available on request.

5.00Declan disclosed he was from Blackpool and I thought it would put me off it due to the rivalry between Blackpool and Preston football teams. However, with his eccentric personality, I would happily go on a tour again. I will recommend him to friends, family and work colleagues. This is one of the best tours as he is not reiterating the same ghost stories as other tours. He has a new take on things and other stories which were very refreshing to hear. Btw I have nearly been on all the ghost tours in York with my husband.

5.00We visited this evening as a family of 2 adults, 1 child and our dog, Bailey, and had the most brilliant time. Dalton is a real storyteller, mixing history with the paranormal and combined with humour. We had a fantastic time and would recommend The Deathly Dark Tours to anybody!
