If you are a huge foodie, or want to see Adelaide's culture through local eyes, join the original Adelaide food tour showcasing the city's unique specialties.
Suited well for sweet-tooths, this two-hour tour has a local guide detailing the amazing stories of locally made products. You'll taste the city's best chocolate, nuts, and iced coffee, plus oddities we grow up eating in Adelaide: a frog cake and some fritz. Finally, lunch will be provided from within the market at a popular bakery (a meat pie/pasty etc of your choice). Take away a surprise dessert plus extra goodies to continue your Adelaide food journey!
*Vegetarians can be catered for; please request this on booking.
*Children will receive a flavoured milk or juice instead of iced coffee unless requested otherwise.
*Wednesday is an ‘optional’ day for stallholders where about 70% of the market is open, but there's still lots to explore.
*If there is only one person booked, we have the right to reschedule or cancel the tour.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Too many sweet items, more savoury items would have been nice. Definitely make time to stay at the end and enjoy the central market.

The (Fabulous) Flamingo Factor did not disappoint. From the very first stop, Katina, my host made it clear that this experience was more than just tasting products locally produced, it was about connecting food with local culture, history, and its people. Katina is knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about South Australia’s food and, its relevance historically to her city. Each stop was carefully curated with hidden gems and local favourites along with her early family memories of growing up Adelaide. Thoroughly enjoyed our tour together. Thank you Katina.

The F Factor was the first activity we did after coming off an overnight flight from Singapore so we appreciated Katina’s bubbly energy and fun facts that kept us entertained. My teens were even quoting some of the facts they had learned as we walked around Adelaide days after. Thanks Katina for a great introduction to Adelaide through its interesting food history!
