We had a fantastic 3-hour kayaking tour (about 2 hours on the water) around beautiful Coles Bay. Our guide Abbey was informative, friendly, and passionate about the area. The group tour had 8 people. Used tandem sea kayaks equipped with rudders. Received spray skirts, fleece tops, life vests, and dry bags which were clean and in good condition. The tour included coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and a cookie. No prior kayaking experience is required, though it would be helpful. For families or beginners, the bay is usually more calm in the morning. Paddling next to the cliffs and along the scenic coastline was stunning. At $145 AUD per person, it’s excellent value for the quality of the equipment, guiding, and the beautiful natural setting. Highly recommend this tour .

We had a brilliant time on the Freycinet Paddle in very moody weather. Abbie was an excellent guide and managed to juggle the various skill levels in our group. It was so tranquil and we managed to see some fish including Sixspine Leatherjacket, my husband saw a baby shark and a giant stingray!

Abby was an excellent guide and we loved our paddle with the group. Abby is knowledgable about kayaking and the surrounding areas. She had great stories and was helpful all round. We had some beginners in the group and she managed all the levels well. We would definitely do it again!

Pedro was great. He explained the sea kayak experience very well, and both me and my boatmate had no trouble picking it up (I have only done single-person kayaking). The paddle around Oyster Bay was the right combination of workout, sightseeing and cultural experience.

10/10 experience, even with weather (wind) going a little bad on the paddle back. The team communicated the night before this could happen but we were happy the tour went ahead as the majority of the paddle was amazing! We had a group of about 14 and the guides Abby and Bee were super knowledgeable and friendly. Views are amazing even in average weather. All gear provided was in great condition.

Was a 2.5 hour drive away. Got to the location about an hour early and as we were heading down the road we got the call to say it was cancelled due to weather and the wind (we were warned this would potentially happen the day before). While I understand this for safety it was slightly frustrating as we were already there or would have been a fair chunk into the drive just to be told if it will will happen or not an hour out from the session time. We decided to go for a walk, but what we found most frustrating was there was no wind, it was sunny and the water was calm. We were in the area until about 3:30 and the wind didn’t really start to hit until around 12:30/1ish. The refund was issued quickly which was the only upside and we were able to use that money to go enjoy a different experience that was very running in the afternoon. I’m sure the experience would have been amazing but unfortunately this wasn’t the case on this occasion. Hopefully if we make it back to Tassie we will have an opportunity to experience this.

Though an overcast day, the paddle around the bay was perfect, and the guide knowledgable. An experience I highly recommend, and will remember for a very long time.

Absolutely brilliant way to experience The Hazards! We saw seals and the guide, Lee, was awesome! (Especially at making hot chocolate!) The drink stop with a huge cookie was just enough to give you a burst of energy to get back to the start. One of the best things I've done!
