Winner of Boston Magazine's Best Historical Walking Tour.
A small group, in-depth exploration of Boson's original neighborhoods and a complete retelling of the American Revolution from the founding of Boston to the Declaration of Independence. Unlike most tours which limit themselves exclusively to what's on the Freedom Trail (in whichever order and direction it happens to go) this tour takes a wholistic approach to the city and the story. We follow a curated route visiting 14 iconic landmarks in the same order the history unfolded, pulling everything together into an immersive citywide narrative that recreates the drama and brings to life the passions personalities, and psychologies that invented America.
There are no big crowds or cheesy costumes. This tour combines expert insights with a light-hearted sense of humor and expands beyond "just" the Freedom Trail so you will enjoy the charm of the old town while getting a real sense of the beautiful and booming modern city as well.

Superb tour. The world is a better place when people find their ikigai, and it was abundantly clear Tyler has found his––he has a profound passion for Boston, its history and the story of the key people who helped found America. He has encyclopedic knowledge and delivered it in an engaging way (even if at times I zoned out from the overload of info!) that brought the history to life as we were walking. And even though it was super cold out, Tyler remained laser focused on his duty as both tour guide and storyteller. 10/10 would recommend and do again, in fact I'm looking forward to doing so

Tyler has an immense amount of historical knowledge and I really enjoyed the retelling of our history as a country. I heard heroic tales of men I’d not heard of who deserved a light to be shined on them for their involvement in the fight toward freedom. To imagine Boston as the smaller city as it was back then was interesting too.

This tour was exceptional, as was our tour guide Mike. He was so well versed in Boston and Revolutionary War history and told the story of the revolution in a much different way than most Freedom Trail tours do. In addition to Revolutionary War history, Mike also pointed out other things about contemporary Boston throughout the tour. Communication before the tour was excellent as well. Thank you Mike for a great tour!

It is a long tour with a lot of walking but well worth it. So many facts and people from history that we never knew. Loved the way Tyler presented the background and events and his use of maps.
