What To Expect
Savoca
After being welcomed by our Guide in your hotel we will head in the direction of Savoca crossing two small villages Sant Alessio and Santa Teresa, we will reach Savoca. This very small town full of treasures will offer and welcome us the Vitelli bar where several scenes of FF Coppola's The Godfather were filmed, the bar is submerged with photos that speak of the film, after we will head towards the church of Santa Lucia to visit where the wedding between Appolonia and Michael Corleone took place... We will still see, we will visit the Capuchin crypt which houses several mummies in a small catacomb.
Forza d'Agro
Moving from Savoca we reach Forza d'agro 'also this city was incorporated in the film the Godfather, think that this city' we find "scenically" in all three films. The city will welcome us with its recent history linked to the same film as the Godfather, we will also have the opportunity to review all the scenes that were shot in Forza d'Agrò. Possibility 'Dining NOT included in the price. if everyone wants you can stay for lunch!.

5.00Tour was wonderful; learned a lot and saw amazing sights. Marcello was very knowledgeable and drove my wife and me around to the sights (it was just the 2 of us as it was low season). Lucky us! Highly recommend whether for Godfather purposes or to discover these beautiful towns.

1.00I do not recommend our tour guide Marcello. He was rude, spoke to everyone like they were children and talked way too much. He doesn’t know how to read an audience or he would have known no one was happy. We could have had more time to walk around and enjoy the scenery and shops had he just shut up.

5.00What a wonderful experience. Marcelo was so informative, knowledgeable and funny. He made the day perfect especially interacting with all of us. I thought I knew a lot about The Godfather movies, but I learned so many interesting facts. Marcelo is a wealth of information. I highly recommend doing this tour and ask for him as your guide. You won’t be sorry.

5.00As fans of all three movies (especially the first two), we were interested to learn more about the locations and back stories. We were not disappointed! This was a very enjoyable day trip and we were able to take some great photos of the stunning hilltop villages and views. Well worthwhile.

2.00In summary: A bit all over the place, hurried, difficult to understand the guide, no lunch break. Full review: Our guide picked us up at the hotel. Although he was polite and nice, from the first minute he was stressed out. "Where is everyone, we're 2 minutes late!" and "remember, this is not a private tour!" - even though we thought we had booked a private tour. Once we were onboard he drove very fast (like an italian - I know..) to reach our rendevouz with another group coming in another car. We ended up waiting for them. The guide was whimsical and at times funny, and definitely knowledgeable. However he was difficult to understand, due to broken english and lack of structure in what he was talking about. It was clearly improvised there and then. This sometimes led to lack of context and understanding of where he was in the narrative, and often we were resigning to not actually listening anymore and just looking at the beatiful scenery. The surroundings were no doubt the highlight of this tour. Amazing towns and locations, whether you watched the movies or not. But the guided tour itself gave little added value, beyond the nice streamlined entry and sitdown at the famous Bar Vitelli, which was well appreciated. Due to the hurried nature of the tour, no lunch break was planned for. This we found strange in a 6 hour tour. We ended up having to spend a small break standing around a corner pizza shop quickly swallowing a foccacia pizza in order to make sure we met the guides deadline rendevouz time for the next transport leg. All in all it was an enjoyable trip due to the sights and locations and whimsical nature of the guide. But i would not recommend this for the "guide"-part itself, as it was not coherent. I would recommend, to the guide company, the following: Do not start off immediately stressing your paying customers, from the first minute. Ensure the guide speaks more understandable english and/or has a more coherent structure to the narrative. Ensure sufficient planned time is set aside for lunch.

5.00What a fabulous way to see the small village where many of the Godfather scenes were shot. Our guide gave us full and sometimes comical history regarding the movie and backstories. Highly recommend for anyone just for the views alone.

1.00.... Warning! Poor IT system, customer service and a failure to address our grievance. Having booked the trip on their website, including collection from the hotel (Hotel named in the drop down box). Their tour guide refused to collect us from the hotel. Unable to cancel as within 24 hours of the trip. We were left out of pocket. Complaint rejected, appeal rejected and no further returned communication from the company. We strongly recommend careful consideration before using this organisation. We would not recommend. We are exploring legal processes to recover our monies.
