Insider tips for exploring The Hague
Mauritshuis
Meetingpoint for the tour, (we do not enter the Museum) Our tour starts and ends at the Mauritshuis, an important historic landmark built for count Johan Maurits. It marks the Dutch Golden Century and its museum halls can be visited after the tour to see both the latest exhibitions and classical pieces from Rembrandt and Vermeer.
Standbeeld Haagse Harry
Discover the difference between Hagenaars en Hagenezen, often referenced by The Hague's key figure 'Haagse Harry' in its eponymous comic books. We will stop for a photo at the iconic statue of this local hero.

Oskar was a fantastic guide, very informative and fun. Made the 2 hour tour fly by. We asked him about recommendations and gave us good ideas.

stayed at the Moxy hotel close to the station. Highly recommend. Best city break in the Netherlands. Also worth a trip to Delft about 15 minutes away.

Ronald was very knowledgeable and gave us information on all questions asked. He is a very pleasant man and seemed to like his work. He asked us for a brief intro (name and city/country) which broke the ice immediately. The sites he took us to were significant in their relevance to Hague history and even current events. I highly recommend Ronald’s tour. Very informative and engaging.

Our guide Ronald (wearing a pearl earring to reference our meeting point at the museum that houses the famous painting) took us at an easy pace through the Hague’s historic district with interesting anecdotes, architectural info and helpful tips (plus a local sweet to try). No tourist traps on this tour and lots of places I would have missed if walking on my own.

I can really highly recommend the tour. There was a lot of background information about the architecture of the buildings, the sights were classified historically and you also got a lot of information about today's Dutch society. The person is open-minded and questions were answered very gladly. Really highly recommended. Até breve e tudo de bom, João! :-)
