What To Expect
Cai Rang Floating Market
At 5.30 am: Visiting The biggest loating market (Cai Rang) where is wholesale market. On the way, you will have a chance to watch the sun is waking up on Mekong river. You will experience sitting on boats and having breakfast on the floating market which is a must-do when you visit the place 7.15AM: Visiting noodle local house where you make your own rice paper and noodles guiding by local people, also try noodle pizza which is made by owner's wife. 8.00AM: After the noodle house, you will have drinks at Hammock coffees shop. Swinging and enjoying the asmotphere. 8.30AM: Heading to authentic small canals – one of ten prettiest canals in the world. It takes more than an hour on the canals which are very long and peaceful. Our boat driver will stop driving, but paddling slowly so that you can immerse yourself in nature with many green trees and bird songs which make you so relaxed and enjoy the fresh air. 9.20AM: Go back to your hotel

5.00The tour was excellent. If you’re able to stomach waking up at 5am, you’re in for a treat. The 40 minute boat ride was smooth and comfortable, and on the private tour in the smaller boat, we were able to snake through the dozens of merchant boats in the delta. Our tour guide, Edward, was incredibly personal, friendly, and kept us in high spirits. On the second half of the tour, my partner and I were able to make rice noodles, as is local tradition. That was pretty sweet. We were also treated to a traditional breakfast, coffee and dessert, which were absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend Fabulous Mekong Ecotours and if you’re able to get Edward, you’re in for a treat.

5.00We had an unforgettable floating market experience in Cần Thơ this morning with Thi — and let me tell you, this is the real deal, not one of those make-believe tourist markets like in Bangkok or Cambodia. Here, life truly flows with the river. The locals buy and sell fruits, vegetables, and all sorts of goods right from their boats, just as they’ve done for generations. Such warmth, hospitality, and genuine smiles from the people of Cần Thơ. Their spirit and simplicity remind me why I love coming back to this part of Vietnam. Life here is pure, full of heart, and beautifully afloat.

5.00Daisy was an absolutely amazing tour guide! For travellers with coeliac disease, tours like this can be daunting, but Daisy made sure all our food was safe and delicious! The small canal was an incredible experience and making rice noodles was an absolute highlight. We could not recommend this experience more highly.

5.00I had the best day on this tour! My favourite day in Vietnam so far. My guide Thinh was such good company and taught me so much about local customs. I’m so glad he was my guide. We spent time seeing the floating village, went down the canals, made noodles, had breakfast and visited a houseboat too. My boat driver also made me some beautiful handmade souveniers.

Our guide spoke amazing English so was very easy to communicate and he was very loveley. 10/10 recommend, thank you !

Thanks to his passion, rich knowledge and kindness, every moment of this day has taken on a special dimension. We were able to communicate in French with her so it was great for understanding! With clear and lively explanations, it gave us a better understanding of local life, traditions, culture and the importance of this fascinating region. Whether visiting floating markets, boat rides through canals lined with water palms, or tastings of local specialties, she has always been attentive, attentive to everyone, and ready to answer all our questions with a smile. His professionalism, his good communicative humor and his respect for the inhabitants and their environment greatly contributed to making this excursion an authentic and human experience. 5.00We had the chance to visit the floating market by boat with an exceptional guide, Nhu, and a big-hearted boatman, Viet. Nhu introduced us to the secrets of the market with passion, gentleness and an impressive knowledge of local culture. Thanks to her, we felt the authentic soul of Vietnam. And what about Viet? A man of rare kindness and admirable courage. I accidentally dropped my glasses in the water... and without hesitation, Viet dove to get them back! This gesture touched me deeply and made this outing even more memorable. Thank you both for their humanity, professionalism and generosity. If you are looking for a sincere adventure, full of discoveries and beautiful encounters, look no further it is with Nhu and Viet that we must leave
