Our first stop will be at Eau Bleu Waterfall located on the central plateau of the Island. Relish the curious effects the light plays on your eyes, giving the body of water a blue like appearance. The azure colours coupled with the calm and soothing sounds of the waterfall, gives this ‘secret’ little pocket of nature a near heaven like atmosphere.
Pont Naturel
Translating into “Natural Bridge”, Pont Naturel is not such a well-known attraction. This only plays into your favour as you will be able to enjoy this experience with little to no disturbance, and trust us when we say this is not an experience anyone with a sane mind would want to miss. Found on the southern coast of Mauritius, Pont Naturel is a beautiful beach, but with a twist. This beach is not about white sand and calm blue lagoons but rather about rocks and extremely rough waves. The main attraction of the beach is a bridge which might appear man made but has been formed through years of huge waves beating on the volcanic rocks. Sit back and enjoy the view of the rough sea striking this magnificent natural formation surrounded by only the noise of the sea and barely any disruption.

A wonderful day where you could discover beautiful places on the island and learn a lot about the history of Mauritius. A huge thank you to Avi for sharing his love for his Island. Mauritius is not only beautiful beaches it is much more. If Avi offers to start the day with breakfast, do not hesitate. It was a treat.

Avi was our guide for the day and he was awesome. He catered the tour to what we wanted to see and took extra measures so that we could see so much of Mauritius. Still it is not possible to explore Mauritius in 1 day but we felt he packed our day with so many wonderful sights. He is very knowledgeable about Mauritius' history and you can tell he loves and is proud of his beautiful country. We first went to have someone delicious only in Mauritius roti and dholl puri and a vanilla drink with jelly and chia seeds. Then we went to a crater with sweeping views and then a Hindu temple the black river gorges national park then baie du cap then volcanic rock beach then a tasty lunch then stunning gris gris beach then Amma tookay temple then natural bridge overlook. We had great views of Le Morne many times saw pieter both peak as well. Avi was so very kind and really made our trip to Mauritius special. We hope to come again.

We had a wonderful time on this tour. Avi contacted me soon after I booked to introduce himself and confirm the pickup time and place. He contacted me again a couple of days before the tour to let me know that one of the waterfalls on the tour was dry and to give me several options of other places to visit. I appreciated the advance notice so we could pick which of the options we were most interested in. Avi was friendly and knowledgeable and he took great photos - he is an excellent guide! We loved the beautiful sites and hearing the history of Mauritius. Since we are vegetarians Avi suggested a good local restaurant with delicious roti and dholl puri. When we arrived the line was out the door, but Avi has an “in” with the owners so we were able to skip the line and even peek into the kitchen to see everything being made by hand. It was delicious! We had a great day; I highly recommend Avi and this tour.

This excursion is simply extraordinary. We stayed 2 weeks in Mauritius and thanks to Avi, our guide, were able to visit almost the entire island but the hidden treasures is one of our most beautiful excursions! It is a visit that will be remembered for a long time with landscapes all more beautiful than each other. We had plenty of sight, to do absolutely! Thank you to Avi for sharing with us his love and knowledge of the island.

Our 2nd experience with Unwind Mauritius was just as great as the first! This consistency in quality at all levels is rare. Avi our guide took us to places that are inaccessible and therefore not very frequented , very spectacular , without forgetting the cultural aspect that is always important to us. He knows all these amazing places perfectly and is able to make our exchanges both interesting and enjoyable. His considerate and flexible approach, his open-mindedness and culture contribute greatly to the success of this excursion filled with sensational discoveries and positive energy! Finally we enjoyed this formula "all inclusive ", no time wasted , very typical and excellent quality meals, and transport in SUV guaranteeing tranquility, comfort and safety.

This was a fantastic tour of the south of the island. We wanted authentic Mauritius and we got it in abundance. Avi picked us up and took us to Curepipe for breakfast. We sat inside this family run snack bar and enjoyed mouth watering roti and Dholl puri washed down with homemade alouda everything was made by the family and we were shown how they did it. We then went to see the dormant volcano and onto the ship factory via a duty free shopping mall selling absolutely everything. We then drove off road through sugar canes to see an old sugar cane chimney and Avi explained how it would have worked when it was functioning. We stopped at a natural bridge at Ponte Naturel. On to a Tamil Temple nestling amongst the sugar cane field. We walk over an old railway bridge with the highest drop in Mauritius and then on to the beautiful beach of Gris Gris and it’s wild coast. Stopping for lunch at a family run curry and noodle bar we then went off road winding through farmland to the magnificent Rocester Falls. We climbed down a small path and swam in the bottom of the falls with many locals. Avi then drove us along one of the most scenic roads in Mauritius following the south coast to arrive at the stunningly beautiful La Prairie beach. On our way back home we stopped at two view points showing all of the south coast. Avi is a wonderful host and his knowledge of old and new Mauritius is exceptional.

Avi was the best host, he was friendly, knowledgeable and went beyond our expectations. The name of the tour is perfect, we experienced fantastic places off the beaten track were it only seemed locals went too. Avi being local was able to introduce us too locals everywhere we went which made the experience more authentic and special. Our girls are 13 and 14 and he involved them throughout

Hidden treasures for sure. What this tour does not say is that you also get hidden tastes of Mauritius. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We got to see beaches, waterfalls, nature trails, fed the giant tortoises, visit the cashmere factory and walk along the tallest bridge to name a few. You will not regret doing this one. The temple visit was one of my favorite sites and all this was done on a Sunday. Amazing!!!!
