1859 Ashton Villa
The extremely wealthy eccentric Betty Brown’s spirit is forever roaming the elegant halls of Ashton Villa. Many have seen Betty wearing a turquoise dress and carrying a fan during lavish event held at the mansion. Even death can’t keep Betty from being the life of the party…and scare the guests half to death.
One of over 200 historical markers on the island, this is the former residence of Olga Samaroff who is known to still haunt the home until this day.

5.00Dave was fantastic I enjoyed when he revealed the areas that were tied together like the assumed mummy burial location and the size of the bone yard. He was very patient when we kept getting distracted by the cat assistant.

5.00Dave showed us around Galveston and told lots of interesting stories! The weather was great. He was very cautious with making sure no one got hurt on the tour which was nice.

5.00I enjoyed my ghost tour with Christina. We were in front of The Opera House looking for Charlie(the ghost) when a man & his dog walked by me & his dog growled & I said shut-up. The man got mad & threatened to call cops on me but Christina kindly handled the situation with the help from another guest and they asked the man to kindly move on so we could finish our tour.It was embarrassing but Christine was polite & assured me it was okay!! Thank Christine for me, she’s a nice person and a Great guide….

5.00Very informative and fun tour! Our guide, Tyler, was super friendly and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain things clearly and made some funny jokes along the way. We also got to meet Charlie and be in his presence for a little bit at the Adams residence. I would definitely recommend this tour! We also go extremely lucky with the perfect weather for this walking tour. 10/10
