1859 Ashton Villa
The extremely wealthy eccentric Betty Brown’s spirit is forever roaming the elegant halls of Ashton Villa. Many have seen Betty wearing a turquoise dress and carrying a fan during lavish event held at the mansion. Even death can’t keep Betty from being the life of the party…and scare the guests half to death.
One of over 200 historical markers on the island, this is the former residence of Olga Samaroff who is known to still haunt the home until this day.

4.00Interesting stories of Galveston's history with a good emphasis on ghostly goings on. Our guide was personable and funny. Only disappointment was that there was no explanation on using all the equipment that was handed out (emf meters, thermal camera, spirit box) so everyone just ended up carrying it around.
