A trip to London would not be complete without going to the Kensington High Tea. The food and experience was amazing. The tour of the Palace was not as impressive; however, if you’re interested in seeing the place where Princess Diana spent her time in London after marrying Prince Charles, it’s worth the visit.

After spending a glorious day with Simon, our tour guide, I truly felt that I had experienced the heart of London. Simon possesses the rare qualities that combine a deep historical knowledge of London and its royalty along with magical personal experiences in the fine arts realm - add a pinch of his whimsy, and you have a memorable experience! Simon’s enthusiasm allowed us to experience the deep love of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as we explored the Italian Gardens. We leisurely strolled alongside The Serpentine, Peter Pan statue, Prince Albert’s breathtaking memorial, Queen Victoria’s regal statue and the serene sunken gardens where Princess Diana’s memorial is located. Throughout our walk Simon narrated Hyde Park’s history and legends, along with interesting snippets on the flora and fauna that call Hyde Park home. High Tea at The Orangery was unbelievable as Simon continued sharing his knowledge on the historical origin of the teas, sandwiches and pastries. Kensington Palace and its grounds were picture perfect. I would return to London tomorrow if I knew I could spend another day captured in the magical moments Simon so graciously shared with us.

Our tour was fantastic. I have been through the park many times, but learned a few things along the way- 10/10. Kensington Palace is always a lovely time- 10/10. The highlight for my friends and I was trying the tea. Overall, we gave the tea about a 7/10. It was good, but we’ve had better.

We had a delightful high tea at Kensington Gardens & Palace! The tour through the park was amazing; it’s such a beautiful park. The atmosphere for the high tea was elegant, and the treats were delicious. Our wonderful tour guide Doug made the whole experience truly special with his knowledge, warmth, and charm. A perfect afternoon in every way!
