A professional English speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the
killing fields of Choeung Ek Genocide Center – 9 miles away south of Phnom Penh. The infamous killing fields have a bloody history. Once an orchard and a
Chinese cemetery, the Khmer Rouge, lead by Pol Pot, turned the place into
what became known as the killing fields, where they executed around 20.000 victim. Over three years they massacred and
buried 2.5 million people. After remembering the dead, return to Phnom Penh to visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21). Meaning hill of the poisonous trees, Pol Pot turned a once popular
high school into a high security prison. 20,000 people were imprisoned
there, many of whom were tortured for information. Today it serves as a
museum and a reminder of darker days.

Experiencing the things in the tour was very informative from listening to my guide Visal. He even did some demonstrations to make things clear for us to see what people went through. You had enough time to do everything at your own pace making it overall a good experience.

Mr. Baboon gave the most insightful tour of the Killing Fields and S21 and was a fantastic tour guide. Himself and Mr Tea were extremely accommodating, picking us up directly from our hotel and offering to drop us off there (instead the entire group opted to take his recommendation of trying out one of the local cafes which he kindly dropped us off at). Not only did we get a tour of the above mentioned sites, but also Mr Baboon gave us an insight to Cambodia culture and history which we all found very interesting. The following day, we had an issue getting to the airport as we could not book a taxi and we asked Mr Baboon for help, to which he went out of his way to find us transport so that we would not miss our flight. This is something that we really appreciated and are so thankful to him for not only making our tour a great day, but ensured we were looked after and safe for the remainder of our holiday.

Visal was our guide and he was very respectful and informative throughout the tour. The Killing Fields are powerful and poignant. I think they could do more at the site - for example - reconstruct some of the buildings, but that’s not about the tour. It is still well worth going The visit to S21 prison in Phnom Penh was also very moving. And, we thought it was a bit too long. We were probably there for 2 hours + and 60-90 minutes would be enough to get a v good impression. We would definitely recommend the visit. Everyone needs to be reminded of how cruel and barbaric humans can be to try to ensure it never happens again

Excellent tour. Baboon was able to give first hand family experience of the regime's work, bring life to what is the most sombre of experiences.

This was an excellent tour, and one that I'm very glad that I took. I often arrange to visit attractions independently however, our guide Baboon, made this tour exceptional though sharing his knowledge of the history of Cambodia, his commentary and compassion in discussing the genocide that occurred, and his insight about the significance and underlying impact of that on the Cambodian people and nation. Baboon made our experience of visiting the genocide center and the Killing Fields so much richer! Tee, the driver was welcoming and supportive also. They were on time, friendly and flexible. They created a great day out and I'd highly recommend this tour.

Cheath was an excellent guide: friendly, knowledgable, and passionate about Cambodian history and present. Fully recommend this tour!

I would recommend visiting these places. But the tour guide was quite poor, and didn't make sense visiting first the fields and then the prison. It should be in the opposite order, since the prison gives you all the context, the fields just by themselves without the context dont mean much, it is just grass and a few small signs. I would recommend visiting this on your own with your private transport, it is just 10 mins from the city, and spend the money of the tour guide in the audio tour you can buy there

A very interesting tour with an excellent guide, Cheath, who provided a detailed history of the events before, during and after the Pol Pot regime's rule. Well worth taking this tour to get a better understanding of the tragic history of Cambodia.
