We will be surrounded by incredible views overlooking the town of Lucca one side and Pisa on the other, with the leaning tower in the distance (away from the crowd) and the sea as a background!

Federica was a wonderful guide!! She was so knowledgeable about edible plants, the history of the area and had stories to share. We hiked through two villages and she created a tour that ended at a winery. It was the best tour I have ever taken!!!

We had an amazing morning with Alessandro our guide. He gave us options on the type of walk we wanted - we chose one that had a little more shade. The walk was great, Alessandro was pointing out all the interning features of the landscape, and the flora and fauna - very knowledgeable! Then we came out into a clearing and had the most breathtaking view of Pisa, the surrounding countryside and ocean - totally amazing and one that will really stick with us!

Just spent a wonderful day with Federica and Alessandro exploring the Apuan Alps. Both are amazing guides - warm, friendly and clearly know this beautiful area of Tuscany better than anyone. Even though it was an overcast day, Federica expertly navigated us through the mountains and managed to find us some breathtaking views which must be seen to be believed. They even made us fresh coffee in the hills and gave us a homemade chestnut cake (sorry Federica I can't remember the name!). Tuscany might not be best known for its hiking, but the Apuan Alps are its best kept secret and I can recommend nobody better than Federica and Alessandro to explore them with.
