The Narrows is an iconic hike in Zion National Park. We will be hiking from the Temple of Sinawava along the riverside walk, then into the Virgin River for approximately 2 miles upstream. The towering cliffs, handing gardens, and springs provide excellent photo opportunities. We will hike as far as the Orderville Canyon, before returning along the same route to the Temple of Sinawava. Though there is not much elevation gain on this hike, it is challenging to forge upstream while navigating large submerged river stones. We will enjoy a charcuterie board picnic on the beautiful grassy lawn of the Zion Lodge.

We had a great day in The Narrows! DJ is a great guide and we loved the fact that all their tours are private. DJ was able to assess our pace and ability and he shared a lot it information about the geology, rock formations, water flow and general Zion knowledge. Lunch was fabulous too! The equipment was high quality and we were very comfortable. Thanks for a really fun day, DJ! Communication with Michael prior to the trip was perfect, so we knew where to meet and how to dress.

This trip was perfection! Our guide, Moises (one of the owners) was amazing. He was in touch before the big day to make sure we were prepared and had all the details to ensure a smooth trip. The Narrows were more beautiful than I could possibly have imagined and our guide was an expert in every way. This was a girls trip and a new adventure for us. It was rigorous but very manageable. Halfway through, Moises spread out a picnic for us that was delightful and gave us just enough energy for the trek back. I can't recommend this tour company enough. One of a kind!

A great experience in a beautiful setting. Michael was a pleasure to spend the day with and provided us with top notch equipment for the hike and an awesome lunch experience following. He was simply a great host/guide for our day in the Narrows. While not a stressful hike, it was a bit more strenuous than we expected. Walking on rocks in mirky water (it had rained a lot in the days previous) for about 75% of the 4mi round trip in the water can be a bit taxing on your legs and arms. Was for us at least. Too, may have not been the best plan to hike this the day after our Angels Landing hike but you schedule these things as you can. Ha. Just expect LOTS of people on this hike. We met Michael at 7am for an early start. Very smart plan. We had a relatively peaceful trip in but hit a massive wave of humanity on our way out. Just know what to expect. Can you hike the Narrows without a guide? Sure. Would you have the same experience as we had with Michael. Absolutely not. We could not be happier that we chose to spend our day with him. Great local knowledge, trail experience for where to make river crossings, our own personal photographer, good conversations and a caring host. What more could you ask for? Thanks again Michael for a wonderful day. God Bless you and yours.

Our guide was DJ. He met us at 7:00 a.m. and provided us with waders and walking poles (never had to stand in line to wait, he brought all we needed). It was really nice having DJ with us, he not only kept us from walking too deep in some areas (where he did have to take my bag), he was also very knowledgeable about The Narrows and pointed out some fun facts. On the way back, we sat and enjoyed a beautiful charcuterie board that he provided and he took tons of photos. It was a perfect experience.

This adventure was the highlight of our trip to Zion. It was a really fun and unforgettable experience. Our guide was DJ from Cedar & Sage Trekking who was kind and knowledgeable. He also magically pulled out a collapsible mini-table and cheese/charcuterie/fruit from his backpack for our picnic. Also thanks to Michael who very promptly responded to my questions before the trip. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had an amazing experience on our Narrows Hike with DJ. We requested waders at the last minute due to the cold temps the morning of hike. Our boots and poles provided by company were also top notch. DJ was very knowledgeable about the terrain and its history. He tailored our experience to our personal needs and abilities. We were able to hike to Wall Street section of the Canyon. We rested for lunch on the way back and DJ provided an amazing charcuterie for us trailside. I don’t think we would have hiked as far or enjoyed the day nearly as much without DJ support.
