What To Expect

Tarvel at the illuminated riverside attractions, including: – Wichai Prasit Fort – Wat Arun Ratchawararam – The Grand Palace – Wat Kalayanamit – Santi Chai Prakan Royal Pavilion – Asiatique The Riverfront – ICONSIAM – Rama VIII Bridge In the rare event of unusually high water levels in the Chao Phraya River, all three-deck cruises with panoramic views may be unable to pass under the Memorial Bridge to reach Wat Arun and the Rama VIII Bridge. For safety reasons, the route will be adjusted southwards, where guests will instead enjoy views of Wat Bukkhalo and the Rama IX Bridge - the most beautiful bridge in Bangkok. Our three-deck open-air cruise offers breathtaking panoramic views, ensuring a memorable experience despite the route change. From November to January is the peak season when tourists from all over the world visit Bangkok. The rooftop deck of our cruise can accommodate up to 250 guests, which is smaller than many other cruises that can hold up to 350-400 guests. On average, the rooftop deck welcomes around 150 guests per day, except during the November to January period, when the number rises to approximately 200–250 guests.

We did not pay for this cruise up front, we paid when we checked in. The issue? The river was too high to pass under the bridge making night viewing of the Palace and Wat Arun impossible. This would be the vast majority most take this cruise, to see the monuments lit up at night. While the cruise company certainly can’t control Mother Nature, they CAN control their knowledge that they couldn’t pass under the bridge, knowledge they didn’t bother to tell us before we paid for the cruise we thought we were getting, giving us the opportunity to cancel. Instead we were stuck on board seeing mediocre sites. Food was just ok. Another issue we weren’t aware of that is vitally important, with 45 minutes left in the cruise the 2nd and 3rd floors start blaring EDM at ear splitting levels that make escaping it impossible. Even the first floor was far too loud. We were not aware this turned into a club boat with so much of the cruise left to go. If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic cruise along the river, skip this one. If you’re looking for a ear crushing loud party boat, definitely sign up. And again, the lie of omission about being unable to pass under the bridge borders on being completely unethical.

Highlights were cruising along the river, the traditional Thai dancing, and the “dance party” later in the evening. However, food quality was very poor and beers were served warm. The food looked good on the buffet but tasted terrible. We haven’t had that experience elsewhere in Thailand.

Overall had a good experience. Downside was not really sure where to go, to get out tickets when we arrived. Queues at the pier were huge, this was firm to numerous trips going out. Eventually a sign popped up to show our tour. The boat wasn't able to go by Wat Arun due to the hight of the river. Food was really nice and plenty of choice. End of the tour, a dinner came on who was really good, got the crowd up and dancing.

Very easy to navigate to the desk for check in without any confusion. Once in line boarding process was easy and quick. Buffet outstanding and drink service good not too long for service. Views from the second floor windows are large do you got to see. Beautiful night for the ride on the river.
