We had an amazing time with Brian on our 5 plus-hour Craft Beer Tour. It exceeded our expectations. Brian and a driver (in a nice van with A/C) picked us up from our hotel and drove us to two different breweries (Overmorrow and Labtory) and two craft beer restaurants along with a stop on “chicken street” for food in the middle. Additional finger foods were provided all along the way. We tasted 15 different beers on this tour. Brian gave us nice gifts from the Taste of Hanoi - he is one of the owners and clearly cares about his business. The bag and koozie were both worth taking home. We enjoyed the entire trip but loved all the beers from both Overmorrow and Labory the most. Getting to know the owners of those breweries and their businesses was fascinating and an added bonus. Brian is an excellent guide and business owner. He was so easy to work with. We coordinated quite a bit before our group even left for Asia. He offered great suggestions and helped us with other planning. I highly recommend this tour and Taste of Hanoi.

I usually shy away from guided tours, and I've been to Hanoi before, but this tour is TOTALLY worth it! You get to these awesome breweries that there's no way you'd find on your own, you get to talk to the brewmasters while discussing and discovering the emerging craft beer scene in Hanoi, and the sampling was great - and diverse! Also get to enjoy some excellent craft beer taprooms and sample their brews alongside some great snacks. Fantastic experience and highly recommend. Dung was a great guide and the whole booking process was easy. Honestly -- even if you're not a huge beer drinker, or don't know much about the brewing process, you'll learn heaps, have fun, and this is such a cool, innovative tour, I'd go for it.

Vietnam craft beer tasting tours are becoming popular in Japan. Japanese people are said to have a genetic weakness in the enzyme that breaks down acetaldehyde. I tried to control myself and enjoy the tour to the end, but I drank the souvenir canned beer handed out on the bus at the beginning, and drank the remaining beer at the first factory, and made the mistake of not being able to finish the sample at the last bar, the fourth bar. But, there's nothing more fun in the world than bar-hopping! So the tour itself was great. At the factory, the beer brewers gave an enthusiastic explanation. I missed about half of it, though. You can buy the beer handed out at the beginning at the supermarket later, so take it home with you. Appetizers are served from the second bar onwards, but depending on your preference, you might want to bring dried squid or cheese with you.

A great small group tour. We explored four unique breweries and tasted a range of styles from farmhouse to Stout. The highlight had to be chatting to the brewer in a warehouse micro brewery on the outskirts of town. Our guide Julian was great company and would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves beer and would like to know the people behind them.
