Wampanoag Tribe history and early settler interactions. Maritime heritage, with whaling and fishing artifacts. Provincetown’s role in modern American theater, featuring playwrights like Eugene O’Neill. The monument’s construction (1907-1910), modeled after Italy’s Torre del Mangia. Our tour guide gave us a wealth of information about the area and specifically about The Pilgrim Monument. We enjoyed the view from the top of the monument and the museum at the bottom of the monument. Great tour guide.
