  Maereg is a very responsible person who complies with all the agreements. We did a 16-day tour touring in 4x4 wonderful places Harar... mountains Simen Gondar... Lalibella...   I had a great time visiting the churches. There were many interesting facets to each church. I visited over 3 days and each day displayed a different section of the territory. I highly recommend. This was a great value.

  We expend wonderful time at Lalibela, and most of this was because of our guide, Maereg. He was so kind, professional, and helpful, and took good care of us. The allocation was perfect with incredible views, and the food out of comments!!! His knowledge about history and religion is amazing, and he generously shares with you. His devotion is something than we will remember through the years. He really touched our souls. Thank you my friend! Somos una pareja Argentina que pasó unos días maravillosos en Lalibela, mayormente gracias a Maereg nuestro guía, que fue tan amable, profesional, y nos ayudo y cuidó en todo momento.   Ethiopia and its people, culture, food are truly amazing and should be experienced by more families. and travelers. We were met with kindness and felt very safe and welcome throughout our journey in the north in Lalībela as well as the south in the Omo Valley. We are a family of four and we were warned by our State Department to avoid all but essential travel especially to the North. it is safe to travel in Ethiopia, especially around tourist areas, by plane. Lalibela and the churches were not to be missed as the religion and the history play an essential part of Ethiopian life. I will not soon forget attending Wednesday outdoor mass wirh the chanting and singing. No other tourists. Our guide Maereg and his team were very professional and always answered any questions that we may have had. The Omo valley and tribes were also a highlight. The kids especially bonded with our two daughters and were just as fascinated with us as we were with them. I would highly recommend Extraordinary Ethiopian tours

  Our family of five (three children aged 6, 6, and 10) spent a wonderful three days in Lalibela with Maereg and his company, Extraordinary Ethiopia Tours. Everything was exceptionally well organized and punctual. Maereg was knowledgeable, great with kids, and made us feel safe and well cared for throughout our stay. During our three days in Lalibela, we visited all the magnificent monolithic churches and completed a memorable trek to the Asheton Mariam Monastery.   I had a spectacular experience on this tour thanks to Maereg. I hadn't organized anything basically and he helped me find a place to store my larger bag in Addis, show me everything with detailed history and make sure I felt safe and comfortable when I got back to Addis by introducing me to his brother there. The tour was full of great history, very customizable based on my interests and time. Even with my room he was able to get me a beautiful place and an upgrade.   Just back from last week's trip to stunning Lalibela. Had an amazing time, all organised by Maereg and his team at Extraordinary Ethiopia Tours. Stayed at Sora Lodge with beautiful views and lovely rooms. Maereg made the entire experience extremely smooth, organised every aspect of my trip and had a great team of extremely knowledgeable guides and drivers which made the whole experience very enjoyable and safe (particularly for a solo female traveller). Would highly recommend Extraordinary Ethiopia to anyone considering visiting Ethiopia.

  Great experience.....tour guide"maereg"was very personable and knowledgeable...tour arranged and coordinated by his brother "Abay" who is a tour guide working out of Lobelia hotel in Addis Ababa....also the same group arranged a tour for us in Gondar...everything ran smoothly....
