Are guides are expert story tellers and are never scripted! Join the 75-90 minute adventure as a local guide leads the way through legends, ghost stories, history, and the infamous hysteria of 1692 — the Salem Witch Trials. This is a comfortably paced outdoor walking tour of downtown Salem, so please dress accordingly. The tour is largely attended and reservations are strongly suggested.

October Check-In: Check in at 127 Essex St. (Remember Salem Gifts) 30 minutes prior to your tour time. Join the check in line when your entire party is present. When you are checked in you will depart, possibly earlier than your ticket time. The last tour guide to leave will depart exactly on time. Guests who arrive late (even by just a minute) cannot be checked in. Please double-check with your group and make sure you have enough tickets, additional tickets CANNOT be purchased at check in. Share check in information with ALL members of your party as a late arrival cannot and will not be accepted, not be refunded, not be able to 'catch-up' and not be allowed to moved to a different tour slot.

Salem Night Tour
Take a spooky stroll through downtown Salem, Massachusetts on this haunt and history, night walking tour. Join the adventure Friday and Saturday at 8pm or Sunday through Thursday at 6pm. Starting April 1st, we will be running every night at 8pm! Licensed guides lead the way through legends, history, and the infamous hysteria of 1692 — the Salem Witch Trials. This is a walking tour of historic downtown Salem that lasts about 75 minutes. Hear amazing stories of Salem's past and discover why Salem is one of the most beloved, historic, and haunted towns in America. The route goes at a comfortable pace, rain or shine. This Salem night tour is typically well attended, so reservations are highly recommended. In October we require guests to be early. Late arrivals (even by just a minute) are not accepted under any circumstances. Guest that cannot arrive early should not book this tour in October.

5.00Our tour guide Elaina was incredible! She was so funny and witty she made us all laugh a lot, (when appropriate of course) when talking about the sad history she was very respectful. She was so knowledgeable of all the history and answered every question. You could tell this isn’t just a job for her, it’s something she’s actually passionate about. All the places/stories covered were very interesting. She also used a mic so every one could easily hear her. If you like ghost stories, history and having fun, I HIGHLY recommend this tour! It was our favorite experience from our whole trip! Book your tour with Elaina! You won’t regret it! And ask her for a jolly rancher!

5.00Elaina was our tour guide and she was the best! She provided us with so much information about the landmarks, ghost stories, and even ghost sightings while including her own experiences. She answered every question that was thrown at her and even stayed after the tour for more questions. Definitely book this walking tour with Elaina! I promise you will look it!

5.00We bought tickets to this tour on a whim while seeing another attraction and we’re so glad we did! Our guide Nyx was funny and informative and managed to keep even the darker parts of the history light enough. The tour was the perfect length to end the evening and get some history behind some of the sights we had already walked by.

5.00Bobby was an amazing tour guide! Great way to not only hear about the Salem Witch Trials, but also learn of the paranormal activity in Salem as well! I even loved his corny jokes, Boston accent and all!! Highly recommend for families, friend groups, lovers of horror, lovers of crime, and lovers of history!!

2.00Showed up at the appointed time. The check-in guys seemed annoyed to have questions asked of them. We did the tour on Halloween night, which I wouldn’t recommend. Crowds are too big and it’s difficult to make one’s way through the throngs of people in order to keep up with the tour and it is difficult to hear over the din of the crowds. The tour guide could probably benefit from sticking to the historical stories rather than trying to be philosophical about religious evolution. I would probably retake this tour with a different guide and on a different, quiet evening. It seems to potentially be very interesting with just the right amount of spookiness and fascinating history.

3.00I was 4-mins late; the person at the booth offered me another option for the 9pm tour but I had to get back to my car and that time slot wouldn’t have allowed me time to do so. It was extremely disappointing; there was no recourse to try and catch up and no effort to make sure patrons arrived. I left NYC 11:07am for a 6pm tour so it wasn’t like I didn’t leave ample time to make it, it just didn’t happen. To only have been a few mins late and be left behind was heartbreaking. Left spend the rest of the evening roaming aimlessly. As I told the gentleman there I understand you can’t make concessions for everyone that shows up late and you have a business to run as well as Halloween night being insane but damn it was was a real disappointment. Apparently he said there was no set route for the tour and that’s why I couldn’t catch up to it. Also I didn’t like the fact that when I showed him the email that was sent to me he said it was for another tour which obviously it was not. I am not sure if it is visitor that sets up the email or the company but why would you put a random link as the first link in the email and then have the detail link at the bottom of the email. It was definitely what slowed me down because the top link sent me to a website and not the directions with the address and I believe I could of made it if I didn’t have to waste my time signing into visitor just to get the correct address. I would suggest the tour company rethinks how they handle their tours. I have never went in a tour where the tour company doesn’t check for everyone’s arrival and sometimes wait a few mins.

1.00His mic wasn’t working he was too busy, worried about his hat, flying off and then one of the reasons why we purchased the tickets at the price that we purchased them at was because it included the cemetery well when we got to the part that we were excited about he doesn’t even go in the cemetery. He says oh just take a minute on your own when you’re walking around definitely explore the cemetery and no the cemetery was not full, and we bought tickets way in advance, so there was no reason for us to have to come back on our own when it was supposed to be included with the tour not impressed! It was also stated that buying online tickets would ensure that we could tour the cemetery because if you wait to get there, you might not be able to so when we did go back to tour the cemetery, we were then told we couldn’t so false advertisement is not cool!
An absolute must!
