We had Sy as our guide for the platinum tour. As a couple that have done our share of distillery tours, this experience was really enjoyable and something different to the more industrial take the distillery tours have. The level of production is really high and as we moved through the different rooms Sy's enthusiasm and passion really shone. It was really great to try a variety of whiskys from different distilleries as opposed to samples from the one you are touring, a great way to broaden your taste buds. (Hope Sy gets to Japan someday soon)

The Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh is well worth a visit. For £40, you’re guided through a series of immersive rooms that explain the history of Scotch whisky and the process behind how it’s made, from production to maturation. The experience is informative without being overwhelming and is presented in an engaging, easy-to-follow way. The highlight comes at the end with a guided tasting of several different whiskies, which adds a hands-on element to everything you’ve just learned. Overall, it felt like good value for the price, and I’d happily do it again or recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Excellent tour and experience! The staff are very knowledgeable on the history and evolution of the single malts, the different regions and flavor profiles. You will learn a lot from this tour and enjoy tasting a variety of single malts. The facility and audio-visual aids are also very impressive.

Medium Excellent facilities. Excellent staff. Well-crafted images, especially in the explanation of whisky making. Audio: bass. I recommend hearing aids because they overlap. The tasting's scarce. You end up in a store = target = sell... you're not the priority. Zero courtesy.

Unfortunately not what we expected. Beautiful visuals, but that's the only thing. The tour started even before we arrived, because they had adjusted the start time independently from TripAdvisor. As a result, we missed 40% of the tour. Compensation for this was not possible at all. For a drop of whiskey, €30 is very generous. Not recommended as far as we are concerned; the money is better spent on a delicious whiskey tasting elsewhere in the beautiful city.

Had a brilliant experience, our guide was Ewan who was very informative and friendly. Learnt so much in the time I was there. Did the Gold experience and originally thought it might be a bit on the pricey side but it was totally worth the money in the end. Lots of information and plenty to taste 😋. If you’re a Scotch fan you will love this. Seriously look no further.

Euan did an amazing job on the tour and was very enthusiastic the whole time. The tasting was absolutely fantastic and we were all shocked when he said it was his first time leading the tasting part of it! Would definitely recommend.

A great way to learn a lot about Scotch. You are taken from room to room with a live tour guide to learn about Scotch whiskey and how its made. Although some of the video narration is silly, the tour is still very interesting and fun.

My partner loves whiskey so this was something we did for him. I don’t usually like whiskey but was willing to give it a try. There were only 6 of us doing the tour which was great as it was small and we could hear what the guide was saying which was very informative for a noice like myself. At the end of the tour we got to try 5 whiskeys, and other than the last whiskey which was a Smokey one I ended drinking all the others. It was good to get. Would recommend to someone who is new to whiskey.
