The most complete guided and narrated tour to discover Vicenza, a city of many priceless UNESCO World Heritage beauties, captivating stories and troubling events, and of a humble stonemason who will go down in history by forever redefining Architecture and its canons. You will enjoy it aboard a comfortable and fun Palladian E-Bike, to reach even the wonders out of town inaccessible on foot, and not really miss anything in the City of Palladio.
Your Cicero Palladiano will lead you into the history of an unexpectedly ancient community, independent in spirit and merchant by vocation. A plot that will tell of international political alliances born from the ferment of the Reformation, of nobles not only in rank, and of the parable of a genius of the artist who became a model of modernity. From squares to palaces, from villas to bridges over the water to historic villages: every glimpse or panorama, every illustrious person will become part of an intertwining that you cannot help but love.

Our story begins and ends in one of the most significant private palaces built by Palladio and Unesco heritage. Here, in the heart of the historic centre, you will pick up your Palladian E-Bike and begin your travelling journey through history, accompanied by your excellent Cicero.
Corso Fogazzaro
The history of Vicenza as we see it today is often, really, the history of Palladio. It could only begin, here, with a mention of his mentor, whose birthplace is right here in Corso Fogazzaro, the starting point of your journey. Giangiorgio Trissino, one of the finest intellectuals of the 16th century, was able to see the genius in the young Palladio, and introduce him to the very rich Vicenza society of the time, opening the doors to the transformation of the city and the birth of an architectural movement that still persists ... this stage you will discover how, and what an extraordinary relationship of respect and friendship linked these two greats of the Renaissance.

Manuel was a fantastic guide for our e-bike tour of Vicenza and trip back in time to the making of Palladio! Manuel is an architect so his perspective was unique and very informative. The meeting point is easy to find and quite a beautiful palace. The architecture is amazing but the history is even better. Would highly recommend for those who would like a deeper dive into the world of Andrea Palladio.

Manuel was an excellent guide. He was very helpful in helping my kids get acclimated to riding E Bikes. And the tour itself was beyond incredible. We learned so much about Vicenza in the 3 hours he took us around the city. We had an amazing time. Highly highly highly recommend taking a tour with Manuel.

Manuel gave a thorough thoughtful review of Palladio’s architecture. He tailored the experience to our group. Be sure to bring water in summer months.

My husband and I both studied architecture in the U.S. so visiting Villa Capra was an absolute must for us. What we did not expect was to have the care and thoughtfulness of a guide like Manuel. Our understanding of Palladio and Renaissance architecture is so much deeper after this tour, and we left feeling more inspired about our profession than ever. Grazie Manuel!

I took a Story of Vincenza half day bike tour with Manuel. Quite frankly, I learnt a lot in a very enjoyable way. The e-bike was a fantastic way to zoom around, especially on a hot August day in Italy. Manuel was so knowledgeable and informative. The bike was easy to ride and the perfect way to climb up the hills. Riding in Vincenza is easy and safe, and local drivers are used to cyclists on the road and treat you with courtesy. I highly recommend you treat yourself to this tour.

We had a great morning touring Vicenza and learning about Palladian architecture. It was beautiful getting outside of the city center as well. The views from Monte Berico was gorgeous. We would’ve missed a lot of the town without the tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our morning with Manuel. His passion, depth of knowledge and gift of communication brought so much to life out of the stones of the Palladian architecture he showed us so lovingly. He is an expert story teller, building solidly from the ground up and then spinning fascinating connections into a woven fabric that envelops you with appreciation for not only the genius of Andrea Palladio, his inspiration and significant ongoing influence, but also of all of humanity as it evolves. Practical concerns about using e bikes for the first time were taken care of and the stories took over (most of the time!). Thoughtful and sensitive to our needs and pace, he even gave up his own jacket for one of us as it was a cold, damp day. We would have gone back for another tour had the weather been kinder and our itinerary allowed. As it is, it was a privilege to see Vicenza this way - never to be forgotten.
