The Great Mosque of Kairouan
The Great Mosque is the symbol of Kairouan. It is one of the oldest and most beautiful mosques in the world, one of the most impressive monuments in the whole Maghreb! Its religious prestige makes Kairouan the 4th holiest city in Islam. We admire its imposing minaret, its majestic courtyard with impressive dimensions, surrounded by superbly designed arcades and sheltering a sundial, and the high doors of richly carved cedar wood. They open onto the prayer rooms, adorned with dozens of marble columns. Built in 670, this architectural masterpiece, whose appearance evokes an adobe fortress, inspired other mosques in the Maghreb.
Medina of Kairouan
The medina of Kairouan is one of the most preserved and authentic in Tunisia, where you can take a look in the souks, taste the pastries of Kairouan "Les Mekroudhs" and its artisanal manufacture of carpets.
Tozeur
Tozeur is the capital of the Bled El Jérid region, located in the south-west of the country, on the border with Algeria. Renowned for its immense palm grove, its succulent dates and the beauty of the architecture of its sun-baked brick houses and mosques, it is one of the jewels of southern Tunisia. Known for the superior quality of its dates and mainly the "deglet ennour" variety, fingers of light, with transparent and succulent flesh, Tozeur essentially lives off its oasis economy: agriculture remains the main activity of the city. The oasis of Tozeur has more than three million palm trees, including 400,000 in the city, but also 200 springs. It is surrounded by dunes and a stone desert.
Golf Oasis Tozeur
Departure in horse-drawn carriages and walk in the Oasis of Tozeur, (included in the offer)
Chak Wak
The Chak-Wak Tozeur Museum is an entertainment, entertainment and culture park, located in the heart of the largest palm grove in Tunisia, the oasis of Tozeur. The Chak-Wak Tozeur Museum is a space of five hectares, fifty dinosaurs and a hundred animal, humanoid and human figurines, mini-museums, caves, huts, all scattered in lush oasis vegetation. The "Chak-Wak" is intended to be a reconstruction of the History of the Earth and of Humanity according to science and the different religions.

Chebika
Chebika is a mountain oasis located in the south of Tunisia, more precisely in the west of the governorate of Tozeur.
Tamerza Canyon
Tamerza or Tameghza is 14 kilometers north of Chebika, close to the border with Algeria, it was an ancient Roman and Episcopal defensive position in Byzantine times. The road to Tamerza is winding. Along a large canyon it is 10 km long from Chebika. Its construction dates from the 2nd World War when Rommel, besieged by the allies, came from the North.
Decor Star Wars Tunisie
It is in the Tunisian desert 14 km from Nefta and 38 km from Tozeur that Georges Lucas set his scene. The place is magical and visitors went from curiosity to adventure. Moreover, these same sets were used for the filming of episodes l and II of Star Wars (Star Wars).
Nefta
The basket of Nefta is a crevice in the form of a basket from which 152 springs emerged to irrigate the entire palm grove of Nefta. In the 1980s the springs dried up one after the other and there was desolation. The phenomenon was the same in El Hamma, Degache and finally Tozeur.
Chott El Jerid
The Chott Djerid salt lake is the largest saline plain or sebkha in Tunisia with an area of approximately 5,000 km2. It is the largest sebkha in the Maghreb.
Douz
Douz is a city in the south of Tunisia known as the “gateway to the Sahara, where you will admire a quite superb Sunset of the Sahara; and you can, at the same time, enjoy the Sahara desert by a Quad ride on the sand dunes, camel ride (optional)

Casas Trogloditas de Matmata
The city of MATMATA is located in the south-east of Tunisia, more precisely to the west of the city of Gabès. It is an ancient Berber village spread over the hills, identifying with the rocky landscapes, with a panoramic view at the top of the mountain and hiding one of the strange sites of Tunisia. The houses of this village are called troglodyte houses where you can admire the beauty of the underground dwellings in MATMATA. They are located in an underground pit in the form of caves, and each pit (الحوش) takes a circular shape and consists of a courtyard decorated with drawings and colors, and it consists of other rooms of the house, the rooms of the house with smooth mud. If you are a history lover, it is recommended to visit this beautiful village, which is visited by tourists from all over the world on daily tours to discover underground life and learn about the customs and traditions of its inhabitants.
Amphitheatre D'el Jem
The amphitheater of El Jem is an exceptional testimony to Roman architecture, particularly that of monuments built for show purposes, in Africa. Located in a plain in the center of Tunisia, this amphitheater, built entirely of cut stone, is neither dug nor leaned against a hill. In this, it takes up the model of the Colosseum in Rome without however being a simple exact copy of the Flavian building. Its dimensions (long axis of 148 meters and short axis of 122 meters) and its capacity (estimated at 35,000 spectators) unquestionably rank it among the largest amphitheaters in the world.

We had a wonderful trip with Rabi (our driver) and Yahya (our guide). They picked us up right on time from our hotel in a comfortable car, and from the start everything was well organized. Our first stop was Kairouan, where Yahya impressed us with his deep knowledge of the history and culture of Tunisia, while Rabi made the ride smooth and relaxing. From there, we continued on to Tozeur and the beautiful oasis. The next day we visited Douz, where we tried ATV rides across the sand dune, an unforgettable experience! On our final day, we explored a Berber village and visited El Jem before heading back. Overall, it was a memorable and well-planned journey. The only area for improvement would be the hotel choices, which could be better.

This is an amazing trip! You got to see so many interesting and diverse sceneries in 3 days. Chaouki is the guide who really knows his trade. He suggests an early start which works out beautifully. We got to see the sites when they are not crowded, when the temperature is cool (we went in July), and as bonus we got to see sunrise and sunset against the amazing backdrop. He also knows good places for bathroom breaks. This trip checked off many items on my bucket list plus more. Highly recommended.

My friend and I had a wonderful few days with our guide Chaouki, who was extremely knowledgeable and was able to add a lot to all of the sites we visited (he is also a great driver too which is needed in Tunisia!). The days were action packed with some highlights being the Amphitheater in El Jem, the mountain Oasis in Chebika, the Great Mosque of Kairouan and the quad biking through the dunes of the Sahara (costs extra but highly recommended). We would probably recommend asking your guide to skip the Chak Wok museum as it does seem to be aimed at children and is also very run down. As we started early each morning we also finished quite early and would probably recommend the tour company includes something else (e.g. Dougga would have been nice to see) especially if the museum was removed from the itinerary. Overall however it was an extremely enjoyable trip and would highly recommend to anyone!

Our guide Ahmed was very friendly & knowledgeable, the exact amount of history + facts without it becoming too much to take in. The days are long for yourself, guide & driver (7am to approx 5-6pm every day) because of the distances involved between sites & also having to drive through towns. But there’s more than enough clean toilet breaks & stops to see other off itinerary stuff on the way. Loads of time to take the photos & explore what you want & never rushed. We weren’t really interested in buying anything from the many stalls in the medina, so he was more than happy to whisk us through to see other bits. There was no pressure to buy anything from stalls unlike other tours I’ve been on before. The hotels selected both had a swimming pool & buffet breakfast + dinner. I think they could probably make this a 4 day tour to include a few more star wars locations or Dugga etc.

While looking for information about a tour to Tunisia, I found a tour with good reviews on TripAdvisor and made a reservation. Since the time in Tunisia was not long, it was very efficient to use a tour company to move and travel. The guide who accompanied us, Chaouki, has a wide range of knowledge, so he provided us with a lot of information and checked for any inconveniences throughout the tour. Also, thank you very much for taking such great photos. I was lucky to travel with Chaouki. The tour starts quite early, and the scenery when the sun rises is so beautiful, so I highly recommend it. However, if you are physically challenged, you may be able to adjust your itinerary by talking to the guide.

Ten stars! What an amazing introduction to Tunisia and the Sahara over the course of three days. Our guide Ahmed and driver Usama of Didon Tours were just phenomenal. From the very start, the tour company was extremely responsive to my various questions, leaving no doubt that the trip would be customized and awesome. I have a severe food allergy and Ahmed took it very seriously, making sure everywhere we ate was safe for me. When we realized we forgot a medication at home, a special stop was arranged to a night pharmacy in Tunis to obtain a substitute medicine. We decided to skip one attraction and got to spend more time visiting the places we were most interested in. Whenever there was extra time, Ahmed suggested additional nearby stops that he thought would be of interest to us and those places wound up being really cool surprises! Usama was a safe and efficient driver and was also really laid-back and friendly. Both guys made the trip so great. It was lovely to see the various cities, large and small, and the different landscapes were mesmerizing. As Star Wars fans, we also really got our fill of the movie set locations. Both of the hotels we stayed at were nice and had BIG buffet breakfasts and dinners. We highly recommend this tour and this company! Cannot wait to return to Tunisia. THANKS SO MUCH!!

A rich and intensive excursion, at the end of the 3 days trip, I came back to my hotel at the capital and I felt like a was absent for 10 days and my album was full of beautiful saharian pictures During the second day, we changed the car and we continued on a Jeep. The Jeep driver was super funny. The guide was cool and knowledgeable. I did 2 extra activities, the camel ride and quad ride, and both were good ideas to go really deep inside the desert. I highly recommend

The experience was very comfortable and we visited every step in the programme. The hotels booked were of good quality and we had breakfast and dinner at the hotels. However, I didn’t totally agree with the style of our guide. The descriptions themselves could also be more accurate. He tended to be repetitive and repeat the same things often again. We never felt like we had a proper lunch. The first day we had some sort of crepe/wrap in a service station (the menu was: crepes with honey, crepes with chocolate, crepes with egg, tuna and olives - and that’s it). We weren’t offered options. We’re easygoing so said yes but we are on holiday and would have liked a proper meal. Second day we said we wanted something typical and were brought to a back alley barbecue (menu was “meat” or “fish”) again we said yes but would have preferred a more proper restaurant. He said “this place is also nice but more expensive” he was referring to his own budget, not ours, as we never made budget remarks. The last day there was no lunch even if we were brought to our hotel at 6. We visited the marmata houses at 11 (so shortly after our breakfast) and he ordered bread and honey for us and aja (I think that’s how it’s spelled?) for himself and the driver. That was the only food we were offered. Regarding the schedule itself, it was good but very comfortable, would maybe have liked a couple extra stops (like Rabat of Seusse which is on the way and a night in the desert - anyhow going a little deeper in the desert where there aren’t many trackmarks of wheels). So, if you’re looking for a safe, comfortable trip and to watch your calorie intake this is perfect for you.

We had a wonderful and exciting experience! Both Yahya (guide) and Hamsa (driver) were professional, fun and polite at all times, and we felt very safe. Due to it being a private tour, they also were very flexible for our needs. We experienced so many fascinating, cool and fun things. Learned a bunch about the desert/oasis too. The hotels and food were fine. You should be prepared for a lot of driving, but that is necessary to see so much in short time. Luckily with comfortable driving and car, we slept a bunch. Would strongly recommend the tour!
