The Viking Planet Oslo
The Viking Planet is the world’s first digital Viking museum, offering a wide selection of unique and engaging exhibitions centered around the Viking Age, allowing you to experience the life of the Vikings as if you were one of them. Climb aboard a longship, defend your village, and feel the thrill of virtual time travel. Come face-to-face with life-sized holograms, explore interactive 3D artifacts, and discover some of the most important aspects of the Viking Age through captivating interactive screens. Create lasting memories at innovative selfie stations, and do not forget to bring home your souvenir! Free admission for children under 6 years old. Viking-themed souvenir store.

1.00Very bad experience . When we arrived they told us that the second floor is closed . We should have been notified of this prior to purchasing the tickets !!! This is totally unacceptable and I personally don’t appreciate such negative treatment !

4.00The museum was very spacious with many different attractions. Including an AI photo machine & a VR system. The gift shop was very nice also with many different items to choose from. The staff were also very kind & welcoming and it was overall a good experience.

3.00There were many activities to plsy with. However, the content was limited. Once we understand it from one activity, the the contect was repeated in a different activity. The VR was not excited as expected.

5.00Viking Planet was very cool. We started out playing the VR game that has one protecting his ship through 3 levels. The Vr was pretty cool and very simple to use. It did get a little warm under the mask, though. The gameplay was fun. You start out with a bow and shoot your enemies attacking from shore. But, if an enemy climbs onto the boat, it's a sword battle. It was a lot of fun. The rest of the museum is full of interactive and informative information on the lives and tools/weapons used by the vikings. There is a VR adventure with a 4D experience (the seat moves) of being on a ship adventure. And yes, the technology is somewhat dated, the experience was still fun. I am definitely returning when I come back to Oslo.

5.00Great welcome and feel as we walked around at our leisure. The interactive stations were very well thought out and the cinema screens were immersive and visually appealing. The VR experience at the end was fantastic! We loved every moment of our visit.
